• Only a mild head scratcher, but Q tells Data there are creatures in the universe that would consider Data the ultimate achievement, no emotions, no pain. Well, yeah, that pretty well describes Vulcans, of which there are some on the Enterprise.
  • Vulcans do feel emotions, they simply suppress them and try not to let them show. They also feel pain like every other biological creature.
