• Why is Vin so surprised that other people in the group aren't baseball fans? Buck Bokai's rookie year was nine years ago, and "If Wishes Were Horses" established that interest in baseball had shrunk to almost nothing during his career, and the professional sport went extinct soon afterward.
  • The same reason people today say "What do you mean you don't watch this show or play that video game", even if it was something cancelled after one season or otherwise a flop. People often expect their personal interests to be universal.
    • It seems like people only do that when the object of their interest has a lot of popularity. Some people don't appreciate that even if Red Dead Redemption 2 shipped 50 million units, earned billions of dollars and received universal critical praise, it's still only been played by a small fraction of the total population. Vin being surprised that no one in the group follows baseball is like someone today being shocked that a random bunch of strangers don't follow professional darts. No rational person would have that expectation.
