Are the Gripklos in "De skandalösa" descendants of Markus and Illiana in "Betvingade" or not?
We know that Gabriel Gripklo from "De skandalösa" was the owner of Wadenstierna Castle, that had once also belonged to Markus Järv from "Betvingade". Of course, 336 years have passed between the two different stories. Many things could have happened between 1349 and 1685. But we also know that within aristocratic families, estates have often been inherited from one generation to another for centuries. So it
would make sense if Gabriel and his sisters were Markus's great great great great (...) grandchildren. But even though Gabriel discusses Markus and Illiana with his future wife Magdalena, he never makes it clear whether they are his ancestors or not.
