  • Why is the gremlin so hellbent on abducting Maude's baby? It proves to be too great challenge for him(?) and in the end he ends up dead because of it. There are plenty of other babies which are far easier to acquire.
    • Because it's a metaphor. The gremlin is a thematic manifestation of Maude's violent abusive ex. Hence the needless, relentless violence it is willing to dish out.
    • Might as well ask why gremlins are so hellbent on sabotaging Allied airplanes in the first place. They're simply evil, malevolent monsters.
