Headscratchers / Not Quite Human

• Dr. Carson's goal is to prove that androids and humans can coexist in society, and that androids can serve many useful functions. So why make Chip a middle school student, rather than an adult? (For the sake of the story, of course) He'd be able to perform many more tasks that way and really demonstrate what androids can do.
  • Not only that, but he'd probably get a much warmer response when he finally does reveal the experiment. If you read in the news tomorrow that a robot had been working an office job or delivering mail, you'd think "Cool!". If you read that a super-strong, literal minded automaton with no morality other than its programming was attending school alongside your children, you might understandably freak out.
