- How can Jason be alive in this movie when he was supposed to have died in the original?
- Either he actually survived his presumed drowning and ran off to live in the woods to escape his bullies or he died and Mrs Vorhees used the Necrinomicon (the "Book of the Dead" glimpsed at the Vorhees house in 'Jason Goes To Hell') to bring him back but he came back wrong which drove her insane.
- So what the heck happened to Paul?
- We last see him attacked by Jason when he lunges through the window. We then see Ginny being loaded onto an ambulance by the police who tell her there is no sign of him. Ultimately it may be that Jason killed Paul and disposed of his body but was then scared off by the arrival of the police or possibly Paul fought Jason off and pursued him into the woods to an unknown fate?
- How did Jason manage to track down Alice? Did he just look her up in the phone book?
- The expanded universe explains her house was at or near Crystal Lake, her having moved there to confront her trauma. Jason could easily have seen her walking around some day and recognized her (as it's also official he saw her kill Pamela).
- And even in the film itself, she's on the phone with her mother arguing about moving back home. Perhaps she took an apartment in the town nearby and that's where he found her. She did seem pretty persistent about Jason being "still there" at Crystal Lake, so maybe she took the cops there to try and prove she saw someone and he followed her home from there.
- How did Jason survive drowning in the camp's lake as described in the first movie? Why did no one ever find him? Why did he never go home? He couldn't have forgotten his family since he clearly remembered his mother and sought revenge for her death, which implies he saw her die. If so, why didn't he do anything?
- He either took refuge in the woods as he was scared of his bullies (and never saw his mother again until she was killed) or Mrs Vorhees brought him back using the Necrinomicon but abandoned him because he came back wrong.
- Jason has a toilet in his shack out in the middle of the woods. There’s obviously no plumbing in the shack, so why have a toilet there to begin with?
- Just a remnant of his previous life, he had been used to using the toilet so installed one in his house even though it didn't work.
- How did Jason find his mother's sweater, but not her body?
