• Chapter 1 (Blue Sphere) begins the story with Sonic, who had prior visited the Chaotix office three times in one week hoping for some excitement, and Tails making light humor of their friends' personality traits, including an innuendo of Sonic's that alluded to Rouge's physical attractiveness much to Tails' disapproval.
• Chapter 6 (Waking Up) has Omega find a logical inconsistency on why someone would sit on a baby when Rouge was referring to how she and Shadow might as well be his babysitters.
• Chapter 9 (Work It Out) doubles as heartwarming when Relic defends Fixit against Omega's condescension, even though her stuttering mid-sentence indicated that even she knew she had nothing to fight the Badnik with.
• Chapter 11 (This Horizon) features Vector responding incredulously that Cream can carry both Amy and Big, and when he mentions how she handles six hundred pounds in flight, Cream replies that it's impolite to ask how a lady weighs.
• Chapter 12 (Chaos Theory) introduces Charmy playing jokes at how Espio doesn't view Vector as their boss and that Knuckles had a hidden girlfriend (Relic) behind all their backs.
• In Chapter 16 (We Three Kings), Johnny Lightfoot is shocked by Big's simple yet astute observation of the difference between talking and saying, and they're both dumbstruck from Sticks' conspiracy theories of alien pie thieves and big businesses hoarding profits.
• Upon meeting Shard the Metal Sonic in Chapter 19 (Prismatic), Sparks could not resist the joke that he didn't look like a Nicole to him.
• Chapter 24 (Everything) has Amy not only enjoy some of Vanilla's cookies, but sneak some to a puppy eyed Chocola when Vanilla wasn't looking.
• Chapter 25 (Ground Zero) has both Charmy and Omega point out how Shade is close to the Knuckles she knows much to her embarrassment.
• When exchanging information with Shorty and Tekno in Chapter 28 (The Fighters), the two laugh at how Bunnie refers to Doctor Ivo Robotnik as Eggman, and Bunnie noticeably blushes later when Antione exaggeratedly kisses her through his communicator.
• Chapter 30 (Strange Parade) is filled with this, courtesy of Simpson’s over the top actions, Marine’s reactions to the former and the ghostly Filch, and Captain Plunder being intimidated by Amy’s questionable words to him.
