• After the divider between their balconies is broken, Masaomi starts using the shared balcony to get into the protagonist's apartment, like nothing so much as a stray cat that's been fed there once and ever after keeps coming back at all hours demanding to be fed again. The first time he does this is at approximately two in the morning, when he simply shows up asking to borrow the protagonist's rice cooker - when she realizes he thinks he needs to wash the rice with soap, she resigns herself to showing him the whole process so that he doesn't inadvertently poison himself.
