• Once Rochefort's decoding team confirms their suspicions about MI and start celebrating, Captain Garth walks in and can't help but notice a pungent odor in the air.
  Garth: Can I ask you something personal? Very personal?
  Rochefort: Sure.
  Garth: You know, it really stinks down here. How often do some of your people take a bath?
  Rochefort: Bath? (smells himself, then smiles) Hell, I don't know. What day is it?
• Spruance is visiting Halsey in the hospital. Heck anybody visiting poor Halsey in the hospital.
  Halsey: [pulls away from Spruance's absentmindedly outstretched hand] No! You want to catch this? You want us to lose the goddamn war!
