• Booth has a grandiose dream about being sworn in as President of the Confederacy, only to be woken up by his guide loudly declaring he needs to take a piss.
• Episode 5 has a simultaneously awesome and funny scene where an African-American father and son being held hostage by Booth and Herold gleefully Troll the duo by speculating about how traitors are executed.
• In episode 6, Booth shows off his Rugged Scars to David and says that one came from being shot by a deranged fan in Columbus, Ohio, before adding that if anyone ever tells David that Booth shot himself in the leg while handling his pistol ineptly, then that is a lie.
• There's some very Black Comedy in the cabinet announcing that a military trial of the conspirators will ensure that the panel of judges is the right way to handle this because they will be more dispassionate than a normal jury, and will also be men they can pick.
• Former Confederate president Davis's encampment is so low on supplies that he's wearing his wife's clothes.
