• In issue #1, when Ivar explains how tiny time arcs are responsible for little objects, like socks and keys, disappearing, we are treated to a small panel of a pack of dinosaurs being very confused by a set of keys suddenly appearing out of thin air.
• Issue #2:
  • "Let's not kill Hitler!"
  • In the prehistoric era, Neela talks about how all life is sacred... and then runs in terror when a massive dragonfly starts hovering around her, telling Ivar to kill it.
• Issue #9, in which Ivar and Neela pass through an alternate version of the U.S. where Native Americans came to rule and lacrosse is the apparent national pastime, has an amusing Stealth Insult at the name of the (since renamed) real-life team the Washington Redskins. This universe's version is called "the Whiteys" and has a cartoonish white colonial as a mascot.
