  • Even after Percy brings back Uke Mochi from the underworld, Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi's relationship doesn't begin to truly heal until Percy is added to the mix. What better way to link the sun and moon than through the god of spaceflight?
  • Percy, despite still struggling with English and History, ends up getting an A in Physics and a solid B in pre-calculus when given the chance to get help and study. Given he is the god of spaceflight, it is no wonder that he is good at them: they are important aspects that are vital for space travel.
  • Kymopoleia the ship wrecker, the goddess of the violent storm figures out that Percy is the nascent god of sailing and exploration on their first meeting. Poseidon had witnessed Percy control a ship in the past but remained clueless despite being older, stronger and more knowledgeable. Kym was able to sense it right away because she and Percy are by their very natures each others antithesis.
  • Percy has been getting along with people all over the world, and it was once declared that anything in space would be done in an international spirit. So a god of spaceflight would also have to have that international spirit.
