Nigh-every member of the new S.W.O.R.D., save for Wiz Kid, Kid Cable, Gateway, and Eden, is someone who's either been a member of a Quirky Miniboss Squad or a Punch-Clock Villain. At first it seems like part of the Krakoa era policy of letting bygones be bygones mixed with Brand simply going with who she can get. Then comes the reveal in the last issue. Brand didn't choose those people by mistake. She chose them because if it came down to it, they're Not in This for Your Revolution and less likely to side with the X-Men and Krakoa as a whole if and when her agenda turns on them.
