Nila's brother wanting nothing to do with her makes more sense when considering that, by the time she was able to revive him, he'd been dead for centuries. Nila was able to enjoy having a living, youthful body, while Khor-Ru is stuck inside an ancient, rotted corpse. She didn't even stop to consider he may not have wanted to come back regardless.
