Fridge Brilliance
- Sean, who's only alive because his werewolf uncle saved him, receives a cyberform dog as his weapon. He was likely subconsciously inclined to choose something that reminded him of his uncle.
- Why doesn't the Edge allow the Heretics it makes to gain memories in addition to powers from their kills as the original Reapers could? Radueriel deliberately removed that feature to prevent Heretics from discovering evidence countering his anti-Stranger propaganda.
- Why didn't Katarin mentally name who betrayed him in his interlude? He was under a memory spell preventing him from revealing the information to anyone, and that includes the readers.
Fridge Horror
- The joke tags reveal that Isaac requested to become Jazz's new roommate after Roxa disappeared. Given the later revelations about Isaac's psychopathic nature and his ability to alter his teammates' memories, had the request been accepted, he could have done anything to Jazz and she wouldn't be able to remember it. Thankfully, the request was denied.
