The twist that everything is just a video game is actually terrifying when one thinks about it. For Robbie, the world just stops, with him unable to move. This is because the game has been paused by the programmer who made the game, who is showing to off to two business people. Robbie is just a video game charecter, yet he appears to be sentient and aware that the game is paused, yet can't do anything about it. To make it worse, the game is rejected so Robbie is likely going to "die".
