- Oin's role as the tank/healer makes even more sense when taking into account his choice of weaponry. Dwarves already have a severe reach disadvantage compared to other races given their shorter height and Oin's choice to fight with a gauntlet would exacerbate that even further, which means nine times out of ten, he's going to be receiving more hits than he can score. So it makes sense for him to have learned to survive those hits and heal them so he may bait a foe into giving him an opening.
