- Cult Classic: An in-universe example. Noel writes a novel about his fantasy character, Monique Gibeau. While the book and movie failed, the novel has gained a cult following.
- Disappeared Dad: Mischa eventually finds his father when he moves back to Ukraine. It turns out his father didn't know he existed, and, when he finds out about Mischa, lets him into his life with open arms.
