The Sparks of Hope Saga is a Fanfic written by our very own mizugameza. It is planned to be part of a larger series known as "Power Shutters Unite".
March 3, 2023. An ordinary day in Power Shutters HQ. That is, until the main character and narrator, Aquarius Wingcrown, gets a communicator text from the Mushroom Kingdom. Rabbid Mario had lost his overalls. Once his overalls were found, it seemed it was over. And that's where things start to get complicated.
All seven parts are completed and are on Wattpad.
"Sparks of Hope Saga" provides examples of the following tropes:
- Adaptational Explanation:
- In the original game, it is never stated how Edge knows how to do everything she did in her entrance. Here, however, it is implied that Edge learned it from King Olly shortly after her defection from the Spark Hunters.
- More like Adaptational Additional Explanation, but, in the original game, it is stated that the Heroes head to Cursa's Stronghold to rescue Rosalina, and Rosalina only. Here, however, it is stated that King Olly also gets captured near the end of Part 6.
- All Your Base Are Belong to Us: Not to Power Shutters HQ, but to the Comet Observatory instead, just like in the original.
- Brick Joke:
- Just like in the original, Bowser warns everyone that he will no longer be allies with the Power Shutters as soon as Cursa is defeated. Sure enough, when Rosalina talks about the power of friendship, Bowser immediately attacks some of the Power Shutters.
- Related to the above, immediately after Bowser joins, King Olly remarks that none of the Power Shutters should give Bowser any ideas. When Bowser moves to attack the Power Shutters, Olly immediately shouts that Bowser is getting ideas.
