Tropes applying to the work
- Cruel and Unusual Death: The victim of the first case is stabbed then suffocates due to smoke inhalation. Her car is then burned
- No Kill like Overkill: A likely unintentional example but the victim suffocated while bleeding out from a stab wound.
- Sibling Rivalry: A friendly example. Lily and Roberto are siblings and a defense attorney and prosecutor, respectively.
