* CoolLoser: In the case of most characters with a FriendlessBackground, it's established that there is a clear reason why they don't have friends even though they are sympathetic people when you get to know them. In Arisugawa's case, there's no logical reason: She's friendly, outgoing, cheerful and humorous. She comes off as a person that at least some others would want to befriend...

* CoolLoser: When in the Japanese chess club. She is very considerate and helpful towards the other members, yet almost all of them scorn her to some degree. Unless they're simply big jerks and think of her as a pawn, not an actual person, it's hard to tell why they dislike her so much.

* NiceToTheWaiter: Treated [Yamada, the unpopulary secretary, no different from the other student council members when she was being interviewed for the vice-president spot.

* PeekABangs: Her bangs cover her left eye most of the time.

While Yamada has made good use of the power a few times, Kurosaki himself seemingly hasn’t.]]

* ChekhovsGunman: [[spoiler: Like Asuka and Odagiri, he is a fairly unnoteworthy student council member (part of the main cast, granted, but not terribly important) until it is revealed that he's a witch. Unlike them, he wasn't a witch all along, but becomes one and probably wouldn't have become more important if that hadn't happened.]]
* TheComicallySerious: He often goes along with Arisugawa's wacky ideas while remaining completely serious or even angry. * MentalTimeTravel: [[spoiler: His witch power. He enters the past of the person he kisses and has to kiss their past self to return to the present. His body stays in the present while his mind travels to the past, though he gets a new body in the past. As a rule, the power makes him time-travel to the point in the past where his presence would cheer up the kissee the most. However, he can decide the point of time on his own if he can make the kissee think of something connected to that memory. He dubs this ability "Memory Dive". It's suggested that he can change the kissee's future retroactively by using the power, but not the general future of the world.]]

Kurosaki is a jerk towards him, just like the other vice-president applicants, but we soon find out that the other applicants acted perfectly nice in the company of Miyamura, [[spoiler: Tamaki]] and [[spoiler: Odagiri]], while Kurosaki continued being a jerk. As such, he isn't ''nice'' against the waiter, but he doesn't see him as lower than other people, either.

* NoSell: [[spoiler: As a witch, he is immune to other witch powers except for the seventh witch's powers and his own if someone with the copy power uses it against him.]]

* PluckyComicRelief: Except for his initial stint of [[spoiler: using the time travel power]], he is not that important to the plot, but is kept around for comedy because of his crush on Miyamura and interactions with Arisugawa.

After being given a peptalk and a display of loyalty from Yamada, he develops his own UndyingLoyalty towards the whole council.

She also comes with similar quips later on in the series.
