Jade Agni
Jade is a very sad girl. She also happens to be the protagonist. Yay?- Break the Cutie: First, Jade's father died in a freak accident when a roof fell on top of him. Then, a month later, her mother killed herself and four others by poisoning the food she periodically send out. Jade's food was also poisoned, though she clearly lived. Suffice to say, she's lead a rough life up 'til now.
- Dimensional Traveler: After becoming a Planeswalker, Jade is able to easily "walk" from plane to plane. In this quest, this means she can hop between a small number of preset fictional universes.
- Playing with Fire: The very first sort of magic Jade ever used, and her go-to form of magic in combat.
- Outside-Context Problem: Jade is thison about every planes she goes to.
- Rags to Royalty: Despite the author's attempts to prevent it, Jade rolled so well on her 'fool Agneyastra into thinking she's a Royal' check that she retroactively turned out to be a magical space princess all along.
Agneyastra
Jade's Intelligent Device, picked up in a long-defunct facility full of suspiciously operational fire-based defenses. Many more devices were disabled, damaged, or otherwise unable to impede her path. This also meant less loot, unfortunately.
