Akira
One of the main characters. His goal is to find his childhood friend that he promised to come to her house as he want to confess his feelings for her before everything went to hell.
- Childhood Friend Romance: Akira and Yui clearly have mutual affections for one another.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: While Akira successfully manages to kill two Hybrid Humans, which is not an easy task, the way he kills them—stuffing one into the mouth of the baby monster—causes it to rapidly expand into a massive sphere of flesh and plants that engulfs a massive radius around the battlefield. It's unclear yet if anybody besides Akira made it out, and we know that Akira only makes it out as a Hybrid Human.
- Superpowered Evil Side: Akira got a darker personality buried within himself that comes out and pushes him to survive, sometimes in unethical ways for example when this persona made him murder a crazy boy that was trying to kill him and it made a creepy slasher smile.

The future self of Akira who returned in time to change the horrible things he knows that will happen.
- Chainsaw Good: A favored weapon of Iwatobi
- Not Afraid to Die: Iwatobi says he lived with the fear of death for years and even meet the reaper once, so hen he mightdie after activating his powers which might kill him and fave not one but two Hybrid Human he doesn't show any fear and instead fight with more determination. Hell, he even stated in his mind that he will change things for the better even if it cost him his life.
