- After Princess Ann returns, she makes it very clear that she knows what her role is and reminds her handlers that she's in charge and will not be having milk and crackers thank you.
- Irving whose been made to look clumsy and a little rude in front of Ann for the whole film manages to prove himself as both suave and discreet by clueing her in on the camera in his lighter and then handing over the most scandalous photos he took with it to her in a room full of reporters without any of them noticing.
- In real life, Gregory Peck getting Audrey Hepburn's name on equal billing with his by correctly predicting she would win an Oscar for the role.
