• His unabashed slamming of O. J. Simpson all throughout his murder trial, culminating in this legendary line after the results of the trial came to light:
  Norm: Well, it is finally official - murder is legal in the state of California.
  (The studio audience erupts into immense applause)
• Coming back to host Saturday Night Live (after NBC royally screwed him over) and concluding that the only reason he was asked to come back and host was because the show has gotten really bad ever since he left.
• During the Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget, he was the only member of the dais whose set was completely clean. This was in sharp contrast to the other roasters and their raunchy jokes, and once the audience caught onto what he was doing, it brought the house down.
