Guardian vs Devil

Gamera

It's honestly not much of a stretch to say that everything Gamera does in this series is unspeakably awesome.
  • Literally any entrance Gamera makes is incredible.
    • First off, his arrival in the first episode. The Gyaos seemingly have Boko, Joe, and Junichi cornered, only for a massive flash and pressure wave from outside to send the monsters flying. The 3 friends go outside to find Gamera looming over them in a sea of rubble and flame, preparing to face the incoming swarm.
    • His arrival to fight Jiger. As she's plowing through the military forces towards the children, a massive fireball suddenly falls from the sky and sends everything in its blast radius flying, Jiger included.
    • He makes his arrival in Episode 3 by intercepting Zigra from beneath right as he's about to ram into the ship our protagonists are on, biting his throat, and dragging him back beneath the waves for a brawl.
    • In Episode 4, he bursts from beneath the Eustace Foundation base with a fireball, forcing Guiron to back off as he makes his landing.
    • He interrupts Viras by shooting him with a fireball, just narrowly getting him to shift his aim just enough so that the rocketship with the children in it isn't totally destroyed. He then circles the Golden Devil, and when his fireballs don't work he simply opts to ram into Viras, tackling him to the ground before pummeling him, arm stump included.
    • His entrance in episode 6 is simple yet effective. As S-Gyaos closes in on Boco, Gamera - mind you not fully healed - gets up and immediately puts the mutant flat on its ass with a single shot before roaring in challenge.
  • He effortlessly demolishes most of the baby Gyaos swarm with a single fireball and then proceeds to swat them away as if they were literal flies.
  • Gamera's fight against the Adult Gyaos is nothing short of brutal, with him taking repeated hits from the Sonic Scalpel and the talons of the beast. All that does however is piss him off, which leads into him outright mauling it.
  • The military attempts to stop him only for him to casually shut down all their equipment.
  • He easily overpowers Jiger before lifting her clean over his head. Even when she manages to get him to drop her, he merely recollects himself, grabs her tail, and proceeds to body-slam her before proceeding to maim her. At the end of it all, he sets his arm on fire, rams it down her throat, and roasts her from the inside out before chucking her like a baseball and finishing her with a blast of flames.
  • His underwater fight with Zigra is basically a dogfight beneath the waves, as Gamera skillfully outmaneuvers the aquatic Kaiju to buy time for the humans to gain distance. To top it off, he sends out a massive EMP shockwave to throw Zigra's senses off.
    • They also aren't lying when they say Zigra being on land gives Gamera an advantage, as he ends the land fight in literal seconds.
  • Gamera loses an arm to Guiron and is straight-up impaled. For most monsters, this would be the end, but Gamera, ever-determined, simply retracts into his shell and not only uses his UFO-style of flight for the first time in the series, he turns himself into a flying buzzsaw with it, easily cleaving the bladed monster in twain.
  • It should be noted that for the rest of the series, he fights without an arm, yet it barely slows him down at all. That's Gamera for you.
  • Even after his near-death experience from Viras, he simply gets back up, roars, and rockets into space to chase down the Golden Devil before barreling right through Viras' charged particle beam and, with an enraged roar, slicing him in half.
  • He easily overpowers S-Gyaos, who is roughly around twice his size, with one arm. And he does this while still badly injured.
  • Even after the Eustace Foundation brainwashes him into serving them with an RNA virus, Gamera refuses to give up, and shrugs off the virus' effects before using his Orylium cannon to blast a hole in the moon, killing the Foundation heads once and for all, even at the cost of his life.
