AoTS Chapter 9: Team Egypt Becomes Team Syria

Written By: Thomas
POV: Third person
Deaths: Grover (9)

With Anubis and Zia dead, Team Egypt turns to Anubis' followers, telling them that they will be killed if they don't convert, but that if they do, they must take a pocket bible, go to a seminar a week from today. Most people, evidently still wanting to live, accept the offer.

Team Egypt finds some stragglers, though- one group of four people with satanic books and a group of two. The former group is convinced to part with their books and burn them, but the second group refuses, smugly declaring that they will rig the elections and send Christians to death camps. Carter and William, not at all intimidated, club them to death with maces and burn their books anyway.

Suddenly, Grover, whom we haven't seen in while, comes into the museum, declaring that he knows that the next Egyptian god is in Syria, but before he can say the god's name, someone shoots him in the head with an arrow, killing him once again. It's somewhat amusing that when they needed an expendable messenger for this role, they immediately thought of Grover.

Team Egypt (or better said, Team Syria) bury Grover, seemingly more disappointed at not getting the information than sad at his death, but resolves to follow his last words to find the god, and likely kill Assad in the process, thereby eliminating one of the Prayer Warriors' real world political enemies.

Next Installment: With Lola out of the way, Team England turns their attention to the royal family.
