TEG 2 Chapter 18: Tourism, Prayer Warrior Style

Written By: Thomas
POV: Unknown Prayer Warrior

The recap erroneously says that Jerry (or as they've called him recently, "Jeremy") was the one Percy rescued from the atheists.

The chapter goes back in time, to them stopping in Washington D.C.(From what I can tell, going from California to Washington DC to India is an exceptionally and unnecessarily long trip).

While there, Jerry meets with his wife, Mary again, and says he missed her. Mary, (whose name is written as Percy for this line of dialogue), says their children (Which children? The one who was executed, then put up for adoption and ultimately miscarried?) are safe and will become Prayer Warriors one day. Mary then gets to the point- that there is a man named Bill in New Delhi who knows Jupiter's whereabouts- and cryptically says that that the next time she sees him, he won't see her, before kissing Percy (it's probably a case of the writer putting the wrong name in, but the fact that he was the man she had an affair with back in the first part of The Evil Gods does make me a bit curious).

The Prayer Warriors reach the man's house, and find him gone, having left behind a cryptic warning saying that the traitor is among them, a "PRIEST IN PRIESTS CLOTHING." The Prayer Warriors leave for New Delhi, and are shocked at how much Satan worship is going on there. In a rare show of discretion, they wait until night before killing one witch that they encounter.

They reach Bill's house. Bill welcomes them and informs them that Jupiter is hiding in the Taj Mahal, advising them to find a way in. Jerry disagrees, wanting to blow it up instead, so the Prayer Warriors steal some "boobs" from witches, whom they end up burning. They're disgusted by the sight of the Taj Mahal and its purpose in worshipping Satan, but take comfort in how it will be destroyed tomorrow.

Next Installment: The Prayer Warriors destroy the Taj Mahal.
