TEG 2 Chapter 9: Still A Better Love Story Than Twilight

Written By: Thomas
Proofread by: Anonymous
POV: Third person, then Ebony/Jason(?)

This chapter is another one with multiple versions. The first is practically unintelligible, the second is somewhat clearer, and the third fixes a few mistakes and clarifies others while adding others back in, essentially making it one step forward and two steps back.

Jerry thanks Anonymous for his(at least according to Thomas and Jesus) help with proofreading, but tells him somewhat bluntly that he won't need him after this chapter.

After the interlude in Camp Half-Blood Christ's Blood, we rejoin Jason as he travels to Kansas City, Missouri. Jason's driving Ebony and Thalia when they see a "demon beast" on the road, a werewolf. Suddenly, the first person narrator (whom I assume to be Ebony, given the context of the rest of the chapter), gets out of the car to protect her virgin "fiends." After a failed attempt to banish him with a "Begone!" Ebony realizes that he's cursed, not evil, and prays for God to help him. The prayer succeeds, and he turns back to a Native American, with God explaining that the man can control his shapeshifting now.

The man's name is Jacob Black; it's a bit surprising that they're drawing from that series, and I'm honestly curious how Twilight stacks up compared to The Prayer Warriors in terms of (lack of) writing quality.

Jacob thanks Ebony, but she tells him to thank God. Without a purpose, he readily joins the Prayer Warriors.

The group continues on their journey, and suddenly, one of their cell phones rings. It's Ebony's, and this marks an even more sudden shift in POV to Jason, who stops the van. Ebony got a call from Draco, her old friend from Hogwarts.

They meet up with Draco in Alana city, and in Version 3, the POV shifts back to Ebony. With a stylish outfit of a leather jacket and jeans, he greets them on his motorcycle. Ebony reveals that she and Draco are married (finally, they're back to the original marriage partners for Draco and Ebony), but the others are surprised, since Ebony didn't tell them. Of course, after a brief segment in which Draco asks why Ebony left, and she explains that she had to leave to help Michael, it's revealed that the marriage never counted, because Hogwarts wasn't on sacred land.

Thomas reveals that Ebony will be back to write the next chapter, because the proofreader didn't do a good job.

Next Installlment: The story gets back to some measure of coherence as the Prayer Warriors resume their search for the traitor.
