The chapter, apparently a continuation of the "Pro-lodge" begins with Clarisse killing someone named Karl Mc Caughey, which doesn't sound like a very Russian name. Apparently, Karl, who seems to be an Irish freelance photographer in real life, is a general in the Soviet Army and priest in the Official Satanic Order of Russia whom the people of Russia apparently revere as a god. Clarisse apparently kills Karl by slicing off his arm while he's flying toward her.
After finishing off Karl, Clarisse turns hr attention to Jill Pole, killing him by piercing his "cuirass of bronze" with a spear, and dragging his body in the hopes of finding a good gun. She then kills a Communist soldier by stabbing him in the chin, and kills another by stabbing him through his "cuirass of bronze," before mutilating the body.
A word about Threat of Satanic Commonism. While the story is ostensibly set in 1917, Russia oddly enough sometimes features a level of technology and culture that might be expected from Ancient Rome, but there are also guns in this story. As such, it's very confusing to tell what kind of place Russia is.
Clarisse then declares "To all those that want to fight me, beware, God is on my side. Jesus will have his revenge on Soviet Russia. Soon a greater Prayer Warrior coming and he will kill you communist leader John Lennon. Amen." before being swarmed and killed by the Satanists, who supposedly have homosexuals among their ranks. This is possibly the first time a Prayer Warrior has outright lost without a Deus ex Machina to save them and dies... at least for now.
