Fail Shep returns to Omega to track down his final recruit, Professor Mordin Solus. TIM advised Shep to recruit Mordin first so the professor would have more time to figure out to counteract the Collectors paralyzing seeker swarms. But Fail Shep likes to live life on the edge. That and, gameplay-wise, all it does is delay your ability to purchase upgrades.
Aria informs Fail Shep that Mordin owns a clinic in the Gozu District. Unfortunately, the Gozu District is suffering from a plague and is under quarantine. This plague is unique in that it affects every species except humans and vorcha, the latter of which are immune to all diseases.
Fail Shep kills the guards enforcing the quarantine, fights his way through the waring gangs, mocks a dying batarian and kills some looters. He makes it to Mordin's clinic. Mordin reveals that the plague was made by the Collectors as part of a twisted genetic experiment. The vorcha have agreed to help the Collectors spread the plague so they can exploit their immunity to take over the Gozu District. Mordin agrees to join Fail Shep's team if he helps him spread the cure to the plague throughout the District.
Mordin also asks Fail Shep to keep an eye out for his assistant, Daniel, who went missing. Fail Shep finds Daniel being held hostage by batarians, but Fail Shep's refusal to negotiate gets the poor man killed.
Fail Shep heads to the Gozu District's environmental controls and spreads the cure. Although Mordin is saddened by Daniel's death, he keeps his end of the bargain and joins the team.
I somehow managed to avoid misspelling vorcha as Vorta.
