Chapter 15 -- Talons Alight!

I've never understood the title of this chapter.

Current Tactician ranking:

  • Tactics — 4 stars
  • Survival — 5 stars
  • Funds — 4 stars
  • Exp — 1 star
  • Combat — 5 stars

If I can pull up Tactics to 5 stars I'll A-rank HNM! Huzzah!

For this 7-turn (technically 8...) defense chapter, I bring Hector, Marcus, Bartre, Guy, Matthew, and Oswin. Hector and Bartre move south to fight assorted enemies; Oswin sits on the throne; Matthew holds back until the enemies nearby are neutralized; Marcus and Guy go to kill the boss.

The thief, who I was hoping to have Matthew steal a lockpick from, surprises me by nonsensically going up to unlock a door rather than left for the treasure chest.

Guy diverts to stop his meddling; Marcus will instead have the honor of duelling Sealen. Which once again does not end the level early.

Although I'm not going to note level-ups for the most part, I was happy Bartre FINALLY got some speed. He and Guy return to the throne room to meet the fighter breaking through the east wall.

Marcus rushes south to stop a mercenary and myrmidon attacking Hector, but they once again cannot penetrate the defense of my Mighty Glacier (pretty close to Lightning Bruiser at this point).

Matthew picks up a silver axe and Mend staff. Hector unnecessarily criticals the myrmidon, Marcus One Hit KOs the mercenary, and Bartre kills the last fighter for no enemies remaining on turn 6.

This was a really easy level, I thought I remembered it being tougher. Maybe it's because of Hector's ridiculous defense and actually using Marcus earlygame—who, by the way, is leaving the roster as of NOW.
