War! What is It Good For.....Gold!

"Alright enough! My decision is made." Cristiano said. The room fell silent. "Opening a new war is foolish right now. Besides, those traitorous Sicilians must be shown our true power. So, we'll finish up with them! Gerardo, your going to war with Benasuto. We need a govenor."

So, that's our next campaign, Sicily.

1170 AD: Morosino marries Flos.

"Alright, I'll admit she's pretty great. But that name....gah!" Morosino

Can't argue with that.

Andreas born to Gerardo.

"We have a lot of kids these days." Cristiano.

"Is that a problem?" Pecina.

"They're hiding my stuff!" Cristiano.

"So?"

"They're playing hide and seek in the kitchen."

"And?"

"They played pirates with your jewelry."

"WHAT?"

And a heretic was killed near Constantinople.

"Begone Satan!"

"Those pious people scare me." Cristiano.

1172

Sicily offers a ceasefire.

"Give peace a chance?" Sicilian Princess.

"You guys declare war on us. Threaten our people, attack our fleets...and you expect us to just forgive and forget?" Cristiano.

"Forgiveness is a virtue?"

"Not for me it ain't. Get lost, and forget it." Cristiano.

Simon Nichetti is adopted by Gerardo...who has become known as the Wrathful, ironically.

Campangola born to Antonio.

And my latest project, an assassin, kills a Holy Roman Priest for experiance. And because I don't like competition for Cardinal seats.

1174 AD

Spain declares war on Sicily.

"You know, they usually don't make it this easy." Cristiano. Other than some troop movement.

1176 AD

A bunch of French armies enter my territory near Constantinople.

"Probably Crusaders that got beat out by England. I doubt they're a threat, but let's get some troops over there." Cristiano.

Benasuto continues to gather troops for the assault on Sicily.

"Come on...this has been one dull trip." Benasuto.

1178 AD

As I suspected, the French were just passing through, and leave quickly...but two large Milan forces enter my territory near Venice!

"What are they up to? More spears!" Cristiano

Simon gets married to Elizabeth.

"The Queen?" Cristiano.

"A couple centuries early." Simon

Dionisio born to Gerardo.

My assassin kills a Sicilian Princess.

"That was kind of harsh." Pecina

"Eliminates a branch of the family tree, weakens they're diplomacy, and prevents them from getting another general." Cristiano.

"Still mean."

"It's what I live for, remember?"

The Moors and Spain declare war on Milan.

"So they probably aren't going after us...what ARE they doing?" Gerardo.

Portugal gets excommunicated....again.

Missed all this getting updated. Get a guard on Venice and I would have crushed the Milanese first had I been around to vote. I strongly recommend you redirect all those armies you're currently using to put paid to the Sicilians and rush them up north to annihilate the Milanese. Just keep a fleet around the Sicilians and make sure they can't fire off an army; they've got the Spaniards to worry about anyway.

If possible, see if you can't maneuver the Sicilians into getting excommunicated; and remember, you can always kill the pope if he doesn't cooperate! Rome really isn't that hard a target...
