{Victory Road is the last - or rather next to last, second to last? - challenge for Trainers attempting to become the Champion. It is a cave of trials, requiring nearly all of the Hidden moves to traverse, and Wild Pokemon more powerful than almost anywhere else in the region. What's more, every trainer there has beaten every Gym Leader. Some, like Vito Winstrate, experience their first loss here. Others fall victim to a sort of Stage Fright. However, it does not go on forever, and the cream of the elite eventually reach the Pokemon League Building on it's far side.}
Shay: Finally made it.
{The building incorperates both a Pokemon Center and Mart to recover and restock for their challenge.
Shay: That's 99 Hyper Potions, 99 Full Restores, and 99 Revives. And 46 Full Heals with the leftovers. That Amulet Coin really worked for me...

Elite Four #2: Ahahaha! I'm Phoebe of the Elite Four. I did my training on Mt. Pyre. While I trained, I gained the ability to commune with Ghost-type Pokemon.
Shay: Impressive.
Phoebe: Yes, the bond I developed with Pokemon is extremely tight. So, come on, just try and see if you can even inflict damage on my pokemon!
Shay: Heh, poor choice of threats against a Dark Specialist! Shay is the name, not like it matters, and I've fought hard with my Pokemon. Lets see what yours can do!

Drake: In their natural state, Pokemon are wild living things. they are free. At times they hinder us. At times, they help us. For us to battle with Pokemon as partners, do you know what it takes?

Shay: I understand. (So, he saw that since I didn't let my Pokemon stay down when they were injured and healed whenever I could, I had to care about their well being.)

Shay: So this is why you left the Sootopolis City Gym. But you still cared a lot about it, I see. That's why you stayed there to help it weather the storm.
Wallace: That incident in Sootopolis City... That was superb work, putting an end to that crisis all by yourself.
Shay: How can a great trainer like yourself have forgotten that a Pokemon Trainer is-
Wallace: Oops!
Wallace: It wouldn't be fair to say that you alone ended the crisis. You overcame that difficult situation by working as one with your Pokemon.
Shay: But I see you only needed a reminder.
Wallace: We Trainers raise Pokemon by giving them items and by teaching them new techniques for battle. But we ourselves also learn many things from Pokemon. And that is where your achievements are put to the test against what others like you have achieved.
