XVIII: Chained in Warhoon
When John wakes up, he is a prisoner of the Warhoons, who are like the Tharks, but worse. For example, instead of metal ornaments, they wear skulls and dried hands. Nice people. Lots of death duels.
He gets tossed in jail to await exhibition in gladiatorial combat. He's chained in pitch black solitary confinement, there's things moving in the dark and crawling on him.
He manages to kill the jailer one night, but the body gets dragged off by something before he can retrieve it.
