Prologue: Welcomes and information

Hello, all who are currently reading this! This is the opening page of what will be the storage place for all my liveblogs of the Fire Emblem series of games. In here, I will be updating chapter by chapter as I play through the games and hopefully make those updates as fun to read as possible!

The next page will be a Table of Contents, since this will eventually get fairly large, and it will make categorizing which games are being covered in which liveblog installments much easier.

Continue forth onto the next page, and hopefully enjoy your time reading!

What exactly does a Ballistician do other than operate Ballistae?

You should count Ballisticians. They kill flyers and you need all the help you can get, besides.

@Montago: not much, but due to them being archer exclusive siege weapons in almost all other games where they aren't their own class, I was wondering what you guys thought about the idea of including them.

@Doctrain: Mostly, I want to include them since this seems like the only group they could really be part of save for possibly a "Misc." units group, but that would only include them, Xane (Woo, a third ballistician, since where on earth will I get another dragon stone for him to use?), and the dragons. Honestly, I'm not terribly concerned about them, but if most people would be fine with their inclusion, I think it'd be fun to bring them along as well.

I count Ballistician as bow units, though this is mainly because in games where they aren't units, other bow units use the ballista.

Xane can't imitate Manaketes anyway.

Time for Trivia!: The bow you got from the village was probably Norne's.

Cain (or rather, the canon sacrifice, Frey) lives btw, but this wouldn't be shown until the sequel...which we never got! Huzzah!

Alright then, I think I'll use them then. Thanks for the input!

I suppose that makes sense. He's apparently a manakete who can't shift anymore, like Gotoh, so it'd be kinda cheap if he could just mimic one for the same effect.

Yeah, the conversation from that village basically mentions Norne, now that I think of it.

Oh, they do? That's pretty cool, and hey, the translation patch for New Mystery of the Emblem will be finished soon, so eventually we will get to play it.
