Well best of luck. Having never played P3P, my knowledge of the female protagonist is mostly second hand.

So I guess I am in for a few surprises.

And suddenly I'm imagining a 12 year old Minako crying into Maya's lap and promising her to never stay up after midnight again. The moral of the story: my 1am brain is silly.

Wait, Ms. Toriumi's suit is supposed to be pink? It always looked dull brown to me.

Also, I did like the little nods to the Social Links that the FeMC doesn't get (in this case, the male's versions of Hermit and Strength)

Minako's as chipper as I'd hoped she'd be, but then again, you're writting her.

I rather did like her reaction to Thanatos clawing it's way out of Orpheus.

As for Who's Who, are you going to have Minako recognize everyone? I think you could get away with her recognizing Ulala.

I like that Minako's first thoughts on the name went straight to food. She remains a perky but not annoying lead, and I'm excited to see where things go from here.

I always did like the Hierophant Social Link. I am glad it doesn't seem to be changed too much for the FeMC.

I'm interested to see how you'll juggle your Social Links, considering how strict the schedule is in P3.

Well Pusle, I do manage to get almost all of them all done in one round expect for Aeon...and occasionally Sun because I like Sunday dates. Might want to plan for that Social Link since it is a good one.

And yeah, it's basically untouched Arrow, with only the optimal remark on Minako marrying the son being the big difference. Which is good because I love this S Link.

Wiping All Out is way too catchy.

Minako's up for just about anything, huh? It's good to see her adapt so well to her leader role.

Of course, she's in experienced hands. (That have never gotten past Easy difficulty because WUSS! pressed for time.

If it helps any, I'm pretty sure P3P's Easy is just Normal + 10 Plumes of Dusk.

By the way, I know that one of the requests from Theo requires not getting the courage concotion and getting a certian item from him. Can I do that anytime or is it just after I accept the request?

I think it's after you accept the request. There are several of the Velvet Quests where the event that gives you the item doesn't appear until you accept the quest.

Also, Theo doesn't seem nearly as enjoyable as Elizabeth.

Sorry for my misinformation. You have to be tired to even go for it, and I only attempted the quest at the point in the game where the only way to get tired is random chance during studying or right after a Full Moon.

You caught the Lisa thing! I admit...this one is kinda hard to catch, due to the "sister" thing not fitting anyone at a glance. I have to admit though, how you justified it was pretty clever. Good job.

I also liked Yukari and Junpei's reactions to going back to hunt the beetle and Minako bossing Igor around.

She's a music nerd. She'd KNOW. (And I double checked because I thought for a few moments it was Ayase and I was like, "wait....")

To be fair, so did I, before I actually thought about it and realized it'd make no sense for it to be her (Ayase isn't a natural blond, and wouldn't be "bright blond" anyway, and Ayase is too old, being about 30 in P3. Also, her P1 ending has her becoming a housewife if I recall)

And then I noticed that a P2 fansite commented on a Who's Who entry supposedly referencing Lisa and MUSES and I was like "wait that didn't happen....oh derp! It did! Just in a strange way."

On the topic of Lisa, she is totally the fitness instructor that shows up on TV sometimes. Even says gratuitous Cantonese an everything.

Weeeell...there is no official confirmation on that but hey. Sounds like a good option for an ex-idol who loves kung fu.

I'm kinda amused by how backhanded the initial Social Stat titles are in P3.

The rounds in Tartarus here flowed pretty well, and the Social Links are working great. This is a fun read.

Thank you! I was hoping a more narrative feel would work better with a semi-walkthrough style for the main bosses. (Or at least, showcasing my strategy with the members I use.)

If I recall, the guess/instinct thing is actually related to the Priestess Arcana. The party reacts better to instinct, as that is part of the traits for the upright Priestess.

Anyway, good job! This was nice and exciting!

The other is "Woman's Instinct." and they brush that off. The meaning more fits with the Male Protag.

Honestly, it seems kinda weird that they'd care so much from an in-universe perspective- Neither Yukari nor Junpei seem the type to be terribly interested in tarot. Why would they care about the distinction between a guess and instincts right then?

I presume it was her birth name, because of the first name of Minako, which is based on "Minato Arisato" etc etc, but wasn't she adopted by Maya, and thus has the last name Amano? I know that Mitsuru referred to her as Amano in previous posts.

You really gave Yukari a tough time. The game doesn't really call her out on that little stunt(in trying to one up Junpei, she does something much worse), so it's nice to see Minako isn't ignoring it.

The Max Social Link guides say that you should combine your regular Tartarus trip and the rescue trip near the end. I say, I prefer getting Tartarus out of the way and rescuing as soon as I can.

And I should mention that I ended this right at the point where Pale Young Man, Smart-Looking Boy and Girl In Dress take a revenge request on a guy obviously voiced by Lowenthal.

A thing I have to note while typing wise is that story-wise, while I do like that we get the exposition, I do NOT like the fact that it's fueled because of Yukari's mistrust of Mitsuru when the player has little reason at all to dislike her. Note the fact that Yukari mostly did this because Mitsuru "forced" Fuuka to join the team, which is in no way the case.

It does little but to put Yukari as a Jackass.

...OK, this has nothing to do with the post itself, but it does kinda bug me. The MC has no reason to notice Tanaka on the female route. On the male route, he is warned about him beforehand by "Maya" and that is probably what, in universe at least, perked his interest, but on the female route, she just sorta...takes interest in a random guy at the mall. I guess one could justify it with "oh, hey, that guy looks like the guy from the shopping show", but still. (I am surprised you didn't mention that btw. Or did Minako just not notice yet?)

All and all, I think you handled all the plot stuff in this post pretty well. Good job.

Thanks. I was always just a bit nervous about making Maya the Parental Subsitute for Minako. But I always liked keeping a tie between old-school Persona and new-school Persona, even if I'm a bigger fan of new school.

I do like the nice touch of Shinjiro listening in to Bunkichi talking to the others. Hierophants and all.

If I recall, you shouldn't be able to fuse Black Frost yet. For one, you need King Frost...and the item you need to fuse him comes from a fusion request involving a demon you also can't fuse yet due to levels.

Also, I noticed you quiped a lot about not using Shinjiro. Not even for some Bus Sign action? (At least, I think that was the ax you got from that quest. Only ax I can think of that you get from a request)

The quest is actually with Vetela, a level 20 something Persona. And I've even fused him before.

I did get a Bus Stop Sign thing...somewhere. But no, no Shinji.

Really? I thought Vetela was above Pazuzu (the highest Devil I can fuse in my current playthrough). As in, I've been messing around with fusing Devils of various levels and I haven't found him yet. You know, you fuse two Personas of the same arcana, and if there is one "between" them in levels, that is usually the result? I did that a bunch in prep for Beelzebub (even if that is much much later) and no Vetela.

And yes, you do get the bus sign from a request. I forgot which one though. Been ages since I did it.

I'm still loving how much personality Minako just oozes.

Oh my. Things are definitely getting foreboding at this point. That said, the funny parts remain funny. And Minako's reaction to the Mitsuru scene was priceless. I eagerly await the next part.

And thus we draw to the fateful date. Looking forward to the next update, because maaaaaan it's gonna be a doozy.

Two social links maxed in one update, and things are heating up in others and the plot.

I kinda like how Minako wanted to focus on Ken and Shinjiro due to her noticing all the tension around them. She was unable to resolve it, of course, but she tried, and I think that is sweet.

I wonder how most of the students reacted to Saori's broadcast? Most of them probably were confused and wondered what that was all about...

And if you think this is intense...let's just say that 4th is the most I will play with the plot.

One of the classmates was dismissive, "Did Saori joined the drama club?" And most people didn't want to interact with her still soooo, might not have gone over well but hey, she's cleared the air before being Put on a Bus.

Probably helps that I'm not able to actually report on the Persona metamorphsis scenes. Ken's is pretty much unchanged for the most part and Akihiko's is shifted to the hospital with a few changes thanks to not being dead.

But yeah, Shiniro not being dead kinda takes a bite out of it.

Bringing Ken to a boss? Is that wise? Well, I guess it'd be smarter than it seems at first glance, since in FES the AI seems to instinctively know that bosses are immune to lolhamamudo (and in Portable, the game you are playing, it's a nonissue), but does the rest of his skills stack up to compensate?

Going by your party set up, he'd be the designated healer, but going by the write up, he didn't do much healing.
