* ItsShortSoItSucks: General consensus being that the episode isn't bad, but way too short to actually leave an impact, especially in comparison to "[[Recap/FamilyGuyS13E1TheSimpsonsGuy The Simpsons Guy]]" which came out weeks before.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Out of the ''WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}}'' characters, only Fry, Leela, Bender and Farnsworth get a decent amount of screentime, with the latter two being the only ones who are vital to the plot.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot:
** It's confusing why this episode chose to use a completely original, but also inferior story than [[ComicBook/TheSimpsonsFuturamaCrossoverCrisis the crossover comic]], instead of just adapting it, or [[CompressedAdaptation at least a part of it]].
** Most of the cast have very little reaction to travelling to the past/future; none of the ''Futurama'' cast care about the fact they've returned to Fry's home time (not even Fry himself) while the Simpsons show very little reaction to winding up in the future and mostly act as they did in the past. This wastes several potential developments the two casts could have had.
* ToughActToFollow: To both ''ComicBook/TheSimpsonsFuturamaCrossoverCrisis'' and "[[Recap/FamilyGuyS13E1TheSimpsonsGuy The Simpsons Guy]]", with many complaining that the former had a stronger story and much more vibrant character interaction, while the latter had a longer runtime and more publicity.
