* CommonKnowledge: Many assume Vinny's main guitar is a Rickenbacker 330 he played on the first album. In reality his main guitar is a 2003 Mexican Fender Stratocaster as he discusses here.
* EpicRiff:
** From What Could Go Wrong: "There She Goes", "Atom Bomb", "We Had a Little Talk", "Hazy", and "Job in The City".
** From Another Light: "Another Light", "Settle for Less", "Reno", and "In The Garden".
** From Realign: "Why Can't This Be Easy", "Ozymandias", and "Pale Blue Dot".
** From Visions: "Choking on the Spite", "There's a Place", and "There's a Time".
* EvenBetterSequel: Realign was widely considered by fans upon release to be an even bigger step up compared to Another Light, itself already regarded as a SurprisinglyImprovedSequel.
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments:
** The TitleTrack of Another Light is quite powerful, the lyrics are motivating and hopeful. Especially the lyric: "The future's brighter than you'll ever know".
** "Pale Blue Dot" is a genuinely uplifting and heartwarming closer. The song saying that we matter and leave an imprint on the world.
* JustHereForGodzilla: A good contingency of the band's listener base consists of people who decided to check out their work after learning that the best-known member of WebVideo/Vinesauce was the lead singer. This has led to a good amount of criticism from people who are fans of Vinesauce but not fans of Red Vox, who claim that much of the hype surrounding the band is simply because Vinny's in it.
* MemeticMutation:
** Blood Bagel 2/VolcanalBlood Bagel quickly gained attention among fans thanks to its nature as a vulgar comedy EP that sharply deviates from Red Vox's usual work, being more in line with Vinny and Mike's humor from their livestreams. Since it was made purely as a one-off project, the idea of the band putting out a sequel to it became a common subject of jokes among fans and even Vinny himself, with the latter jokingly stating during a WebVideo/Vinesauce stream that a hypothetical sequel would be called Volcanal.
** Blue VoxA hypothetical BizarroUniverse counterpart to Red Vox that fans devised to play off of the common contrast between red and blue. The novelty of the idea quickly led to it gaining attention, with fans creating a number of joking approximations of what this alternate version of the band would sound like.
** The Red Vox PigeonThe music video for "All About a Feeling" prominently features distorted footage of a pigeon eating a noodle. The clip quickly became popular among fans thanks to the silliness of the imagery, resulting in widespread fanart recreating various shots from it. Fans also came to view the pigeon as an unofficial mascot for the band.
* MisattributedSong: "Scoot the Burbs" is often mistaken to be a Red Vox song. It's actually a song that Vinny improvised on the spot during a shovelware stream over a chiptune version of "A Story About Us" by Music/NeverTooLate from VideoGame/RazorFreestyleScooter, then recorded for his solo album Odds and Ends, a collection of demos. Red Vox does sometimes perform it at shows though.
* SugarWiki/MostWonderfulSound: The guitar riffs in "Reno" are a thing of beauty.
* SignatureSong: Their song "In The Garden" is easily their most well known song.
* Squick: To some, "Vomit In The Ball Pit" and "Roid Rage".
* SurprisinglyImprovedSequel: What Could Go Wrong was generally well-regarded upon release, but most listeners agreed that it was noticeably rough, suffering from overproduction and an excessively brash tone. By comparison, Another Light was regarded as a major step up: while its production is still thought to be somewhat excessive, it's considered much better than its predecessor's "late 2000's rock" production values, and the shift to a more abstract direction both musically and lyrically was greeted with open arms.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSong: Vinny himself noted that "Realign" sounds very similar to Music/Nirvana's "Come As You Are", which he admitted was unintentional but made sense considering his roots as a Nirvana fan. He said that he also found Miles Kane's "Rearrange" soon after, which is also very similar not only in chords but even in name.
* TearJerker:
** Fan consensuses is that "In a Dream" is their saddest song due to it being about dreaming about an ex-lover.
** A good contender for that title is "Ghost Page", which many interpret the lyrics as someone who had a crush on a girl who died or is otherwise gone is looking through their posthumous online profiles.
** "From the Stars" is another prominent heartrender, being Vinny's tribute to the late Music/DavidBowie.
** "Stranded" is a saddening one, considering it's about a person stranded out somewhere. Talking to possibly god or themselves, about how they won't last and will inevitably die.
** Vinny himself noted how a lot of the responses he got regarding Kerosene was that it tended to make listeners cry; it's not too surprising to hear, given how an album created primarily as a form of self-therapy might drive anyone to tears.
** Vinny said that his favorite from Visions is "I'll Know". It is the most vulnerable track on the album. Especially the lyric: "I know who I am on the inside, more than you know."
** "Traces" is a song about . It's possibly their darkest song yet.
* ToughActToFollow: Hit "Ozymandias" fairly hard upon its single release. Most fans agree that it was a poor choice for a follow-up single to the rapturously-received "Why Can't This Be Easy", with the expectations by that song playing a role in the somewhat divisive response that "Ozymandias" garnered. After the TitleTrack of Realign and "Be Someone Forever" were put out as singles, fans came to the consensus that they would've been better follow-ups to "Why Can't This Be Easy".
