Possessed of a seething hatred of Nick for testifying against him, Udo makes it his mission to destroy him and his family, not-so-subtly threatening to target Nick's wife and kids while remarking his preferred murder of "squealers" is to shoot them in the belly to let them "roll around for a long time, thinking it over" and finally managing to shoot Nick while laughing his head off. A perpetually-grinning, unstable nightmare of a man, Udo is one of the most frightening villains to ever come out of the early FilmNoir genre. |
