3	* SugarWiki/AwesomeArt: The revamp features very detailed artwork that makes some things look like paintings. The backgrounds, the title cards, the objects, and even the characters have great detail. There are even some instances that the humans/objects look {{CGI}}, but if you look closer, they're just really well-rendered digitally.
4	%%* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Indeed, they make you want to think that you're watching a soap opera.
5	* BrokenBase: The "episodic" release of ''Emily's Wonder Wedding''. The official reason was so fans only had to wait a week for a new episode instead of a year for the whole game. While some didn't mind this change and bought the episodes, others disliked this and waited for the full game to be released. Thankfully, this type of thing hasn't happened since.
6	* GrowingTheBeard: ''Emily's Taste of Fame'', which was the first game in the series with a fleshed-out story, was also the first one to be considered better than SoOkayItsAverage.
7	* HoYay: In ''Emily's Big Surprise''. When Patrick thought that Emily was pregnant, he was so excited he gave Evelyn and Edward hugs, and then ''kissed'' Francois on the way out.
8	* SequelDifficultySpike: When ''Delicious'' might have a reputation for being too easy, there comes ''Delicious: Emily's Wonder Wedding''. If you reach for above the "target" score, it can get very tedious on the "Invitation Challenge[s]". Each gamer would have a different opinion on which is the hardest challenge of them all.
9	** This is also the case after Emily's Miracle of Life ended the Difficulty Modes for Easy and Hard, as many fans believe that Normal Mode is ''incredibly'' difficult.
10	* SoOkayItsAverage: The first three games are generally considered this by fans and critics alike: while the gameplay is good, there's nothing that makes them stand out from the competition.
11	* SweetnessAversion: Even for a casual time management game, they really know how to create such dramatic (and sometimes [[TearJerker heartwrenching]]) scenes. You'll likely roll your eyes from the cheesiness of it while simultaneously [[NarmCharm having the moments pull at your heartstrings]].
12	** In ''Emily's Childhood Memories'', the cutscenes of their younger years take this from {{Narm}} to very touching moments.
13	** The episodes that take place in the Kids' Club, in ''Honeymoon Cruise''. Or whenever there are babies or kids in the scene, for that matter.
14	* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: In ''Emily's Miracle of Life'', the player is supposed to feel sorry for Mary-Lynn when Andy breaks up with her. However, Mary-Lynn tried to pull TheBabyTrap to keep Andy with her, even though Andy had made it extremely clear that he didn't want kids, making her look incredibly selfish.
