* SugarWiki/AwesomeMoments: Chief Wood'nhead killing the three thugs who brutally murdered the Spruces. It's particularly satisfiying seeing him not even flinch after being shot by Sam. It's at that point that Sam knows he's screwed and we the viewers know he absolutely deserves what's about to happen.
* CrossesTheLineTwice: Annie killing a hapless hitchhiker? Shocking. Annie being chased by hitchhiker who is now a zombie? Terrifying. Annie repeatedly trying to escape? Thrilling. Annie taking the extra effort to repeatedly ram her car into said zombie over and over to try to keep it from coming back while it gets ever more and more mangled with each attempt? Hilarious.
* GeniusBonus: Chief Whitemoon's car is 1952 Pontiac Fleetleader. The Pontiac car brand was named after Chief Pontiac, an 18th century Native American chief.
* {{Narm}}: Deke's actor conveys the terror one would feel about an oil slick wanting to eat him and his friends...until the oil slick grabs ''him'' around the foot. He looks more ridiculous than anything as it eats him.
* QuestionableCasting: Per [[https://natewatchescoolmovies.wordpress.com/2015/10/10/a-chat-with-actor-holt-mccallany/ an interview]] actor Holt [=McCallany=] had auditioned to play a {{fratbro}}, but a producer offered him the role of Sam Whitemoon. [=McCallany=] pointed out that he was a blue-eyed White guy of Irish ancestry and could not play a Native American character. The producer said it would be fine if he wore make-up and a wig, and they would write him off as being of mixed-race. [[SpecialEffectsFailure The results leave a lot to be desired]].
* RetroactiveRecognition: Randy and Sam are the first film roles for Creator/DonHarvey and Creator/HoltMcCallany, respectively.
* RootingForTheEmpire: Admit it -- some of you were rooting for the blob in "The Raft".
* SoOkayItsAverage: The movie overall is seen as a fine horror anthology that suffers from having 3 less interesting segments compared to its predecessor.
* TearJerker: The murder of Ray and Martha Spruce. Martha is shot right in front of Ray, and in complete shock all he can do is say "Martha" while walking towards her body just to be coldly shot too. Yeah, there's a good reason Chief Wood'nhead goes on a RoaringRampageOfRevenge.
* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: The makeup on the Creeper is incredibly well done and honestly looks real. Considering it was made by Creator/TomSavini (who also played the Creeper) this isn't surprising.
* TheWoobie: Poor Ray and Martha. What made it worse is they're the only people in the entire movie who don't come off as AssholeVictims, which makes their deaths all the more tragic. On the plus side, it provides a reason to root for Chief Wood'nhead when he hunts down the ones responsible.
