* AntiClimaxBoss: While [[spoiler:Ginis gave the Zyuoghers a tough battle when he was normal size, when he enlarged himself, he went down within two minutes, possibly setting a record for fastest gigantic FinalBattle in ''Franchise/SuperSentai'' history. Though it was justified as it was said that outside his base, he was considerably weaker, hence the reason he harnessed the world's power]].
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic:
** The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_Nk-IOM39I opening]] is a powerful (and extremely catchy) mix of tribal beats and rock music that makes you excited for the show from beginning to end.
** ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mB_lms-P4w Kakusei! ZyuOhger]]'', giving you your fill of retro-y action music.
** ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtsg1Z_FGzE Doubutsu Gattai! ZyuOh King]]'' may not have the "super deep anime character" style of [=ToQ-Oh=]'s theme or the "BigDamnHeroes" style of Shurikenjin's theme, but it's still got an extremely catchy beat not unlike the opening.
** ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dB5V_PHE58 ZyuOh Fight]]''. [=NoB=] has done it again.
** ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1B7rY3_vCk ZyuOh The World]]'' definitely counts.
** The remix of the ''[[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger Super Sentai Hero Getter]]'' used as the ending theme for episodes 28 and 29.
** ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOA9PAuFQiQ Kagayaku Ouja]]''. Just try and not be filled with hope after listening to it.
** Sentai manages to keep up their streak of amazing final mecha themes with ''[=DodekaiOh=] Arawareru!''.
** The ending theme, ''Let's [=ZyuOh=] Dance!'' is extremely catchy and energetic. The show's crossover with ''[[Series/ShurikenSentaiNinninger Ninninger]]'' adds some extra Japanese instruments and shouts throughout.
* CompleteMonster:
** [[BigBad Lord Ginis]], an alien with an InferioritySuperiorityComplex, despises being made of [[{{Mook}} Moebas]], beings he looks down upon. Creating the Deathgaliens, Ginis uses them to serve as his warriors in the "Blood Games"--wherein he challenges and destroys other worlds--currently having done so to [[OmnicidalManiac 99 planets]] and now targeting Earth. Creating an ever-collapsing barrier around planet Earth, Ginis plans to allow it to destroy the world unless the heroes managed to deactivate it. Although his barrier is stopped, Ginis sets up a destructive robot to continue his genocidal plans. [[ManipulativeBastard Cunning and manipulative]], Ginis tricks the friendless Misao Mondō into becoming his servant and hires a sadistic alien hunter to make his "game" of planetary destruction more interesting for himself. When one of his men betrays Ginis after finding he was responsible for the destruction of his home planet, Ginis defeats and spares him, before watching with amusement as the [[DrivenToMadness broken man]] insanely destroys everything in his path. After all but one of his followers are killed, Ginis decides to end the Blood Game by injecting his cells into the core of the Earth, wiping it out entirely. Incapable of loyalty or gratitude, when the Zyuohgers discover Ginis' body to be made of Moebas and reveal it to his last remaining follower and she declares her loyalty to him in spite of this, Ginis, cruel to the end, [[BadBoss kills her off]] for [[DontYouDarePityMe daring to pity him]].
** ''The Heart Pounding Circus Panic'': [[BigBad Domidol(l)]] is an alien [[RepulsiveRingmaster ringmaster]] who runs an [[CircusOfFear evil circus]] where he enslaves his victims, including [[WouldHurtAChild children]], as he traverses the cosmos to build his ultimate intergalactic ring. Destroying planets and stars he deems as in his way, Domidoll arrives to Earth, kidnaps a host of children and plans to [[HumanResources convert their fears and sorrow to energy]], whereupon he will begin bombing Earth's cities. His ultimate goal is to obliterate Earth to clear the space for his circus, and he has no compunction attempting to murder children who get in his way.
* EndingFatigue: Many fans have remarked that events that transpired in the show's last five or so episodes would have better served if they were included earlier or not at all because they slow the pace and [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot introduce too many new ideas]], especially since many try to be a PlotTwist such as:
** Naria not having any backstory and [[spoiler:dying unceremoniously and ultimately was inconsequential to the plot.]]
** Ginis is actually [[spoiler:a collection of [[{{Mooks}} Moebas]]]] and [[spoiler:has a massive InferioritySuperiorityComplex revealed as soon as his true nature is discovered.]]
* FanNickname:
** VideoGame/{{Minecraft}} Sentai [[UsefulNotes/FurryFandom Furry]]ranger.
** Kaixa Bird, Zyuoh Kaixa, Bird Orphenoch: Bud, due to this actor's previous role as [[Series/KamenRider555 Masato Kusaka/Kamen Rider Kaixa]].
* SugarWiki/HeReallyCanAct: Episode 35 ''really'' shows just how impressive of an actor Masaki Nakao (Yamato's actor) is, especially when it comes to portraying utter despair.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** Zyuoh Elephant is the first elephant-themed Ranger in ''Sentai'', coming after ''Gaoranger'', ''Gekiranger'', and immediate predecessor ''Ninninger'' all had green elephant mecha; and ''Gekiranger''[='s=] adaptation ''Series/PowerRangersJungleFury'' even had its own similar-looking Elephant Ranger.
** The fact that this show debuted a month before the US release of ''WesternAnimation/{{Zootopia}}'' is pure, furry-filled coincidence.
*** In a similar vein, the fact that ''Anime/KemonoFriends'' debuted during the airing of last few episodes of this series. Cue the FriendlyFandoms and crossover fanarts.
** Ginis has a [[WeaponOfMassDestruction WMD]] that he deliberately named "Gift", intended as a NonIndicativeName… unless you know of the other meaning of [[ForumSpeak GIFT]] nowadays.
** One recently-revived ancient mecha gets a massive reaction at the sight of an ancient enemy from its time suddenly revived - are we talking about Zyuoh Whale upon seeing [[spoiler:Azald]], or [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamIronBloodedOrphans the Gundam Frames in response to Mobile Armor Hashmal?]]
** So people joked about Kohei Murakami's character Bard causing some misunderstandings,[[labelnote:note]]He played Masato Kusaka in ''Series/KamenRider555'', a very memetic character.[[/labelnote]] whether betraying the gang or doing something that would cause infighting. Hell, his character already somewhat started that as early as #11. But then comes [[spoiler:#46]], and even though it has been established since then that Bard is a good guy, the fact that he caused a severe misunderstanding that affected a character's backstory has fans laughing in glee. The extra irony being that it was also established that Bard [[ContrivedCoincidence didn't do it on purpose, either]].
*** In short, while Kusaka is a BitchInSheepsClothing and VillainWithGoodPublicity, Bard is (ironically, like Takumi) [[spoiler: the complete inverse: a HeroWithBadPublicity and unassuming GuardianAngel]].
** When Bangray becomes obsessed with wanting to break Yamato's connections and send him into "despair," it makes him sound a lot like a [[Series/KamenRiderWizard Phantom.]]
** In a rare case of ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' doing it first, the series ends with [[spoiler:Zyumans and humans living together]] just after ''Series/PowerRangersDinoCharge'' did the same thing with [[spoiler:humans and dinosaurs.]]
** Not only did a character voiced by Creator/NobuyukiHiyama fight against a yellow-armored, lion-themed, HotBlooded ScreamingWarrior like [[Anime/GaoGaiGar Guy Shishioh]] (whose father is also named Leo and who also has a friend who [[ThePowerOfRock plays the electric guitar]] in [[MusicalAssassin Mic Sounders the 13th]]), said warrior is also allied with a red, bird-themed warrior with a WhipSword like [[Anime/PanzerWorldGalient Galient]] and their respective series were featured for the first time together in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsBX'' which was released just eight months before "[[Recap/DoubutsuSentaiZyuohgerEp08SavannasMelody Savanna's Melody]]" aired. Had Yabaiker last until the [[Recap/DoubutsuSentaiZyuohgerEp09ADayDoesNotEnd next episode]], he would have met [[DrillMole Cube Mogura/Mole]], which is a DrillTank just like [=DrillGao=], [=StraightGao=], and [=SpiralGao=] (the latter two are also modeled after moles).
* IKnewIt: Most fans correctly guessed that [[spoiler:Bard]] would become [[EleventhHourRanger Zyuoh Bird]].
* LikeYouWouldReallyDoIt: Azald is seemingly killed by [=ZyuohGorilla=], before anything can be established about him and just as they seemed to be setting him up for something bigger. His reappearance in the next episode isn’t even played as any kind of reveal.
* LoveToHate: Ginis is considered one of the most evil villains in Super Sentai due to being motivated only by sadism and isn't at all caring towards his minions. However, he is liked BECAUSE of his sadism-driven motivation. He also has a cool design, is calm and collected in his demeanor (so long as you don't know his secret origin) and keeps his BadBoss qualities to a minimum, only showing it when they turn on him (though he still retains his composure regardless) or when they dare to pity him and his origin, making him a somewhat cool villain in spite of this.
* MemeticMutation: [[Memes/SuperSentai See this page for examples.]]
* MoralEventHorizon: If Ginis destroying 99 planets (including that of one of his own henchmen) wasn't enough for him to cross this, then [[spoiler:killing Naria (for her compassion, no less)]] is.
* PopularWithFurries: Naturally, the Kemono and UsefulNotes/FurryFandom have taken a great interest with this series. Mostly because Zyuman's are anthropomorphic BeastMen, even when the main Zyumans take human forms there's still quite a bit of fanart of their Zyuman forms. With Sela and Amu pretty much being pretty much the majority of said kemono/furry fanart, due to their adorable Zyuman designs.
* SugarWiki/MostWonderfulSound: The singing that can be heard when the Rangers use their cubes for different functions.
* SurprisinglyImprovedSequel: As opposed to the more BrokenBase-laden [[Series/TokumeiSentaiGoBusters prev]][[Series/ZyudenSentaiKyoryuger ious]] [[Series/ResshaSentaiToQger sea]][[Series/ShurikenSentaiNinninger sons]], ''Zyuohger'' is surprisingly a lot more warmly received, hitting in the right spots at the earlier episodes.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSong:
** The music that plays during episode 40's TrainingMontage sounds almost ''exactly'' like "[[Music/{{Survivor|Band}} Eye of the Tiger]]". Why this used this for Leo [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter and not Amu]] is mystery for the ages.
** There's a [[SimpleScoreOfSadness piece that plays over somber moments]] that may remind some people of "Terra's Theme" from ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVI''.
* UnexpectedCharacter:
** The "Super Animal Wars" shorts in the Blu-Ray release will bring back the version of Masato Jin of ''Series/TokumeiSentaiGoBusters'' from the ''Doubutsu Sentai Go-Busters'' AlternateUniverse.
*** That's zigzagged. [[spoiler:It turns out that he's Jin from the original universe, except he permanently disappeared by the end of the Go-Busters series. He then explained that he's Tokumei Sentai's Jin from the V-Cinema, not Tokumei Sentai's Gin from the main series.]]
** Of all the Reds to have a voice-only cameo from the original actor in the ''Ninninger'' crossover, it's [[Series/ChoujuuSentaiLiveman Daisuke Shima reprising his role as Red Falcon]]. Ignoring ''Gokaiger'', this gives Shima the honor of being the first ''Sentai'' actor to reprise his role in more than one MilestoneCelebration season, as Yuusuke/Red Falcon has a major role in ''[[Series/HyakujuuSentaiGaoranger Gaoranger vs Super Sentai]]''.[[note]]This does not count Rei Saito/Tsuetsue, who originated in ''Gaoranger'' and returned in ''Boukenger'', but technically only reprised her role once, or Toru Furuya/Aka Red, who is a special case due to being made for MilestoneCelebration seasons.[[/note]]
* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Yamato’s father. Yamato is portrayed as in the wrong for running away from him on the night his mother died. But considering that said father showed up too late to say goodbye or try to save his wife’s life, refused to explain why and never bothered to reconcile with his son for 10 years, Amu and Mario admonishing Yamato for not going home rings hollow.
* TheWoobie: Misao may be someone you want to just hug and reassure, but the writers have made it borderline ''mandatory'' that Yamato ''has'' to ''have the living daylights punched out of him''. Poor guy gives Ginis' original puppet a run for his money when it comes to despair, and it only gets worse as the series goes on.
