It continues a previous series in the same style called [[https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6LQ-KNPYKUR8OUDztlqYzNOmhMl7HYUg Tales from Paper Mario RP]] which [[AdaptationDistillation shortened]] events that would happen in the server. Both series spoof both Roblox and roleplay tropes, while the latter also throws slight plot and story elements in.
