''Arkn: Eternal'' is yet another addition to the web-based [[WebOriginal/TheArknMythos Arkn Mythos]] franchise. It was created by [=DeathlyLogic=], and originally launched on December 25, 2018, with the finale of ''[[WebOriginal/TheArknverse Solar's Crimson]]''. A SpinOff of ''WebOriginal/TheArknverse'', ''Eternal'' was intended to allow incoming creators to produce content in a setting similar to that of ''The Arknverse'', without disturbing the canon ending of that franchise. When [[OrphanedSeries no content emerged for]] ''[[OrphanedSeries Eternal]]'' after nearly two years, however, [=DeathlyLogic=] decided to reboot ''Eternal''. The end result is an all-new version of ''Arkn: Eternal'', with a new backstory, new settings, new characters, and a new, upcoming series: ''The Seven Circles''.

[[Characters/TheArknverse Azrael Michaelis Winter]], having spent eons learning to master his [[TimeMaster time-based powers]], decides to TimeTravel to the golden age of the Arkn and prevent the second Arkn-Dekn conflict. However, he overshoots his stopping point, instead arriving before the dawn of time, just as the [[CreatorGod Hethe]] first appear. Azrael's presence [[TimeyWimeyBall alters crucial points]] in the timeline, causing a ripple in the fabric of reality that splits off the new version of events into [[AlternateUniverse a new, separate version of the universe he knows]]: Universe E.

!!''Arkn: Eternal'' provides examples of:

* AlternateUniverse: Universe E is an AU of Universe A in which the Arkn-Dekn conflict was prevented. It resembles an AlternateTimeline in most aspects, right down to running parallel to (and being able to cross over with) [[WebOriginal/ArknLegacy Universe X]]. However, since time is an aspect of Existence normally only experienced by mortal beings,[[note]](for the Arkn, Dekn, and all other immortal beings, history is marked only by the fixed points of the Beginning of Time and the End Times)[[/note]] Azrael's manipulation of events -- which removed numerous fixed points -- caused ripples in the fabric of reality, so drastic that it split the "new" set of events off into their own universe (rather than a mere parallel timeline).
* ForeverWar: Subverted; in Universe E, the war between the Arkn and the Dekn is prevented before it even begins.
* KillTheGod: [[spoiler: The first story of The Seven Circles shows a mysterious figure killing the Hethe in their realm of Xua]].
* SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong: Due to how events unfolded in original history (beginning with the first King of the Arkn, Gilgamesh, being defeated by The Carver) The Carver had the upper hand against the Arkn from the very start; Azrael attempts to travel back to the golden age of Gilgamesh's reign and ensure that The Carver was defeated. However, he instead arrives at precisely the moment the Hethe first appear. He uses this to his advantage, [[spoiler: educating the Hethe on the disastrous state of Arknverse A and the various roles they played in it; this convinces most of the Hethe to pursue a more peaceful path in creation]]. After the first Dekn, Hash'bor'kanibal, is created, [[spoiler: De'ebo becomes bored at the placid state of Existence, and attempts to create the Arkn in secret and encourage them to war against the Dekn. Gar'sha discovers his treachery, and De'ebo is brought to justice, with the Hethe (and Azrael) using their combined power to seal De'ebo away.]]
* SealedEvilInACan: [[spoiler: As punishment for attempting to create the Arkn and pit them against the Dekn, De'ebo is sealed away in a small cube dimension. Whether he ever escapes from said cube is unknown. (However, the first planned story for ''The Seven Circles'' had a mysterious figure killing the Hethe, hinting at the possibility]].)
