''Rooster Teeth Animated Adventures'', also known as ''RTAA'' for short, is an animated comedy series created by Creator/RoosterTeeth, based around animating the lives of the many employees of Rooster Teeth and the hijinks they get themselves into, whether it be related to antics around the office, traveling, or just home life. Some of the stories include such things as: physical torment, hilarious coincidences, and embarrassing moments.

Most of the audio comes from ''The Rooster Teeth Podcast'', although a multitude of different sources like ''Off Topic'', ''On The Spot'', and ''Always Open'' have been used over time to create new episodes. The series was originally animated and directed by Jordan Cwierz in a simple, somewhat messy format with heavy focus on blue coloring. Due to his increasingly busy workload as the animation department's Creative Director, the series is directed by Andrew Lhotsky and animated by various animators in the 2D animation department.

The last episode was uploaded in March 2023, and with Rooster Teeth shutting down in 2024, it's most likely that no new episodes will be made. 13----
!!''Rooster Teeth Animated Adventures'' contains examples of:
* AdaptationalVillainy: The entire staff of the Rooster Teeth company are portrayed as [[{{Jerkass}} Jerkasses]], drunks, psychopaths, unstable {{Cloudcuckoolander}}s, and more... Though it's all PlayedForLaughs. [[MeanCharacterNiceActor They're all pretty good people in real life]].
* TheAlcoholic: Just about everyone at the company drinks extensively for seemingly no reason, though it's usually PlayedForLaughs in the series.
* AlcoholInducedIdiocy: A common theme on the show is one of the employees sharing a funny story relating to a time they got drunk.
** ''"New Orleans Part 1"'' and ''"New Orleans Part 2"'' follows the adventures of Geoff and Griffon, the latter of which got drunk before a ghost tour. The episode goes on to show Griffon losing her purse, pissing off an entire tour group, and then vomiting bright red vomit everywhere in the bathroom of their hotel room.
** ''"Don't Trust the Blue"'' was the story of Burnie going drinking with his friends and apparently drinking ''two'' [[GargleBlaster Everclear and tequila margaritas]]. [[WhatDidIDoLastNight He woke up the next day with no memory of the previous 12 hours]].
*** In a different short, he had just a little bit of a drink left and decided to pound it down. That tipped him into this trope, proudly declaring "I am Catbug!" to his employees during a dinner, and he later convinced others that ''they'' were engaging in this, handing them bags of popcorn and asking them to leave.
** Lindsay actually ''invokes'' this in ''"Lindsay's Holiday Rally"'', because she wanted to experience being that one family member who got too drunk at the family holiday party. So she proceeded to drink a ''lot'' of wine, hit her head against a hanging frying pan, and nearly fell into a fire pit.
** "Cheese Master Gus" during Extra Life in ''"All Hail The Cheese Master"''.
** ''"Kyle Becomes Wolverine"'' is about Kyle getting very drunk on his 21st birthday.
* TheAllegedCar: Chris once had half of a car ''melt'' because it had been coincidentally parked in front of an arson site. He was given a payout by his insurance company to repair it, but he asked to keep it. The car was subsequently involved in another accident and totaled, resulting in him getting ''another'' payout.
* AlphaBitch: ''"When In Doubt Dab"'' portrays Meg Turney as a consistent rival and belittler of Mariel's choices during the episode, and Mariel and Lindsay goes on to claim that she was acting similarly to the antagonists of ''Film/MeanGirls''.
* [[AnimalsHateHim Animals Hate Them]]: The cast do ''not'' have the best luck with animals of any kind.
** In ''"Burnie Burns Horse Puncher"'', Jordan's hand is bitten onto by a horse, which refused to let go until Burnie punched it in the face.
** Gus, in particular, is apparently locked in a constant battle with squirrels and raccoons in his yard as ''"Reverse Snow White"'' and ''"Squirrel Content"'' show. ''"Raccoon Rumble"'' even has him and Kayla wondering why raccoon fights would even take place in his yard.
** According to ''"Deer Stalker"'', Chris apparently tried to scare off a deer that was harassing one of his friends.
* ArtEvolution: The initial episodes showed stilted and stiff movement since Jordan was animating on his own, but as episodes came out, there's increased fluidity in character movement and episodes became more colorful as the animation quality increased. Earlier character models like Gus or Gavin remain monochrome compared to more recent ones like Andrew or Kayla, whose models have colored clothing. While Barbara and Elyse are both blonde, Barbara's model remains monochrome while Elyse's model sports dark blonde hair and a red shirt.
* AshFace: During ''"[[https://youtu.be/0ltfs09l3II Gavin's AC Anomaly]]"'', Gavin hired a repairman to fix his air conditioning, but then he just takes the panel off of it and leaves, causing a huge fire to start and engulf Gavin in flames for a moment. Soon after getting out of the fire, his face and body are covered in ash.
* AutoErotica: ''"Keep The Engine Revved"'' had Mariel attempt this with a date because she had a CoolCar, Chris getting some and almost crashing the car, and Barbara recalling seeing a guy getting laid in his car at a traffic stop.
* BadBoss:
** Burnie is usually portrayed as incredibly egocentric and rude towards his employees, acting in a corrupt manner and not really caring too much about anyone on the show as a whole.
*** [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]], but Matt isn't portrayed much better sometimes.
** In one of Aaron's previous jobs, he suspected that his superior was a drug addict, due to the man's erratic and bizarre behavior, including believing an astrology book's predictions using Aaron's birth date.
* BadDate: Miles and Chris have had some pretty bad dating experiences.
** ''"Miles's Dirty Talk Fail"'' had him [[{{Spoonerism}} mix up two very important words]] that ruined the date.
** ''"Chris's Smoking Hot Date"'' involved him meeting his BlindDate and discovering she was much different than she appeared.
** ''"Chris Strikes Out"'' showed him failing to chat up a group of girls, much to Michael and Geoff's amusement.
* BavarianFireDrill: ''"Hiring Who?"'' is the story of how Geoff and Gus met Dan Godwin. He simply showed up to their call center one day and bluffed his way into a job and subsequent promotion without anyone realizing it. He got away with it because he was apparently a decent and competent employee.
* BigBrotherBully: Burnie's brother is usually portrayed as manipulative and cruel towards Burnie, messing with him whenever he can and mocking him whenever he falls for his cruel pranks.
* BigEater:
** ''"Burnie and Ashley Search For Food"'' show that if Ashley doesn't eat, she becomes a demon.
** ''"Bulking Up"'' show Michael and Jeremy being so hungry that they buy themselves extra sandwiches to eat on their way home from work. Lindsay is shown to be unimpressed with Michael stuffing his face while Jeremy ate his extra sandwich before his wife got home.
** ''"Chicken Tender Travesty"'' show that Michael is such a fanatic for [[TrademarkFavoriteFood McDonald's Chicken Selects]] that he started salivating over how much he loves them. And once again, Lindsay is completely unimpressed with his appetite.
** ''"Biscuits or Breadsticks"'' show Michael and Kerry arguing against Miles about the superiority of Red Lobster's cheddar biscuits over Olive Garden's breadsticks. Michael gets so passionately worked up over the matter that he screams in Miles's face.
** ''"Glusttony"'' has Sam admit that as he's gotten older, he'd rather spend more time eating, even choosing food over getting laid.
* [[BlackBeadEyes Blue Bead Eyes]]: Everyone, aside from Geoff, are drawn with dark blue dots for eyes, and the women have eyelashes. Geoff, in contrast, is drawn with [[NonStandardCharacterDesign large, hooded eyes and visible sclera.]]
* BlackComedyCannibalism: Joked about and referenced in ''"Wolverine Bacon"''. Kyle and Sam joke about how Wolverine's HealingFactor could lead him to become a renewable resource for food, but Chris Kokkinos is more grossed out than amused by it.
* BlatantLies: The comedian from ''"Mooning Over Shoes"'' ends up mooning Aaron. What's the thing he says to him in order to make him feel better? That the butt he saw was ''fake''. The bizarre thing is that Aaron actually believed this... until he turned 13.
* BloodierAndGorier: Despite the series being made up of stories told by the employees, it oddly features ''far'' more blood than a good majority of their other series, which have actually remained mostly blood-free.
** Near the end of ''"New Orleans Part 1"'', Griffon hits her chin against the ground hard enough to take some skin off and begins bleeding. ''"New Orleans Part 2"'' doesn't have any real blood after, but a red scratch mark is left where it happened.
* BouquetToss: In ''"Barb's Bouquet Grab"'', she caught the bouquet just before it landed in the hands of the woman in front of her due to the fact that she was much taller and was able to reach over the other woman's head.
* BoyfriendBluff: Inverted in ''"Chris's Fake Fiance"'', where Chris found himself being pulled into one while waiting for his own date. The poor woman was being harassed, so he claims she's his fiancee in order to drive her harasser away. Meanwhile, his ''actual date'' showed up...
* TheBully: A good number of the employees used to be bullied.
** ''"Farts Still Funny"'' reveals that Brandon's was a large boy who he was incapable of fighting against. However, he ended up getting some revenge by framing the bully with a loud fart...Which didn't really matter considering the bully just beat him up afterwards.
** Lindsay admitted in ''"Lindsay the Poké-bully"'' that she tricked other children for their Pokemon cards. She apparently also got kicked out of the Girl Scouts for being a "problem child", as shown in ''"Mob Cookies & Clean Butthole Land"''.
* BumblingDad:
** As shown during ''"It Was Wet"'', [[Creator/LevarBurton Mica's dad]] ended up getting the bright idea that if his phone is soaked from sweat, than all he has to do is put it in a microwave to dry it. [[StuffBlowingUp Goes about as well as expected]].
** Geoff comes off as one when he tells stories involving his daughter getting the better of him.
* ButtMonkey:
** Whenever Gavin appears in the series, it's basically expected that he'll be made the butt of most jokes, even when it isn't his experience being discussed.
** Chris's appearances usually make him the butt of many jokes as well, so it can be expected that if Gavin and Chris are in the same episode, then Chris is usually the bigger ButtMonkey, largely due to Gavin having at least a bit more common sense.
* CallBack: Throughout the series, later episodes will often include clever, split-second references to previous episodes in scenery and incidental objects.
* CasanovaWannabe: Chris's various dating mishaps certainly qualify him as one, although there's nothing repugnant about him, he just can't seem to land a date.
* CatsAreMean:
** In ''"Vengeful Cats"'', Gavin's cat Smee has a habit of deliberately peeing on the guest bed after Dan's visits. Miles then shares a story of his friend's cat deliberately soiling the family's beds in retaliation for being left at home when the family would go on vacation.
** In ''"Cat Stories"'', Smee also likes eating Gavin's headsets, Joe the Cat pees on Burnie's luggage whenever he has a trip, and Gus discovering that a childhood cat of his came back to die at his house.
** ''"Meanest Angriest Animal"'' is the story of Seamus, a cat that Gus and eventually Geoff, adopted. The cat was so ornery that he tried to claw Gus at the shelter. When Geoff took over the cat's custody, he clawed Geoff's first ex-wife's face and terrorized the neighborhood until he ran away after a car.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: To say the many employees of Rooster Teeth aren't very normal would be an understatement to say the least.
** Somehow, Brandon thinks that designing shoes that would ''only'' work on the moon would be a good business idea.
** Joel can come across as downright insane at times with how bizarre he can come across.
** The recurring ''"Gavin or Google?"'' segments basically showed how Gavin's thought process works, and how bizarre his questions can be. Incidentally enough, he's much more grounded in reality when compared to Chris.
** Chris has a strange way of cooking fish and once thought almonds were walnuts. He apparently is also convinced that tater tots can also be qualified as fries. In fact, upon meeting him as described in ''"What is Chris?"'', Blizz is convinced he's secretly an alien.
** Alfredo, for some reason, thinks it's okay to eat greasy food while taking a shower.
* ColorBlindConfusion: Trevor shares that he's color blind, leading Chris and Blaine to think he could be a superhero who could see through camouflage. Trevor responds that he couldn't see a green Easter egg in the grass as a child and only learned he was color blind when he went to the eye doctor for glasses.
* ComedicSociopathy: Whenever an embarrassing or painful story is being told, expect the employees to usually break down laughing.
* ConsummateLiar: ''"Impractical Yolkers"'' shows that ''Lindsay'' of all people is actually really good at lying, to a point where she can keep a completely straight face while giving Burnie a glass of egg yolks disguised as orange juice.
* DeadpanSnarker: All of the employees are pretty snarky to say the least, though the most common example is usually Gus.
* DeathGlare:
** Geoff receives a rather appropriate one from the tow truck driver from ''"Lightning"'' after he was forced out into a lightning storm, and was nearly struck by it.
* DieLaughing: The side plot in ''"Chris's Airline Adventure, Part 2"'' is that Gavin laughs so long and hard at Chris's story that he dies from the lack of oxygen.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: ''Somehow'', Lindsay didn't realize that giving the CEO of the company a glass full of egg yolks while he's sick ''may'' just be a bad idea. Even she comes to realize this, understanding how horribly that could have potentially gone for her.
* TheDitz: Among the employees, Gavin is probably the most recognizably ditzy, considering he has a tendency to make some really ridiculous decisions for basically no real reason. In ''"Podcast King"'', Gus steps inside Gavin's head and discovers a sign that says "Gavin's Brain (do not confuse)". Although he didn't see it, there's also a grape lodged in the brain matter.
* DontTryThisAtHome: Burnie and Gus make it ''very'' clear that people should ''not'' buy or use the "Anarchist's Cookbook", considering it's a book about making ''bombs''.
* DotingParent: Geoff very clearly adores his daughter, and will usually go out of his way to make her as happy as possible.
* DreamSequence: Some of the staff have had some bizarre dreams.
** Burnie's dream about Lindsay becoming an ass-kicking spy in her wedding dress. He had another dream where he just kept eating the same burger over and over again.
** Geoff had a dream where he was banned from gaming when he's drunk.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Early episodes have notably lower quality animation and were about half the length of the most recent episodes.
* EmbarrassingTattoo: Creator/DanteBasco has mixed feelings about people getting tattoos of his characters. He's especially flabbergasted by one woman telling him she got a tattoo of Rufio on her ''thigh''.
* EpisodeOnAPlane: Several episodes are focused on the employees discussing their (usually negative)experiences on planes.
** ''"San Diego"'' has Geoff and Gus talking about the time they sat next to two annoying girls on a plane, who refused to turn off their electronics throughout the entire flight, and when they finally did listen and turn them off, they started taking pictures of one another with flashing cameras. Geoff ends the episode off saying that [[SarcasmMode since society ''apparently'' doesn't have rules, he's gonna stop paying his taxes and go shoot a cop]].
** ''"Chris's Airline Adventure"'' is a two-part story of Chris somehow getting on the wrong flight through a comically ludicrous series of circumstances.
* EvenTheGuysWantHim: Gavin has been hit on by guys several times.
** ''"Gavin's Secret Admirer"'', where he kept getting samples of food from an older chef and didn't realize it was the chef's way of getting his attention.
** ''"Porta-Potty BJ"'', he got propositioned by a guy high on cocaine, after the guy barged in him going to the bathroom. Naturally, he turned that down.
* FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon: Intentionally [[InvokedTrope invoked]] in the case of Lindsay during ''"Impractical Yolkers"''. Roughly halfway into the episode, we see an image of Lindsay seeming completely innocent, before fire rises up behind her as she begins to smile devilishly.
* TheFaceless: Jordan Cwierz himself is never animated. If he is shown, his face is obscured, such as with a banner in ''"House Training Chris"'', a baseball mask in ''"Baseball Bruises"'', or just simply depicted as a Zoom call icon in ''"Dad Bod vs. Father Bod"''. The one time he's actually drawn is the 2020 animated RTX at Home panel on the Rooster Teeth site.
* {{Fangirl}}: Yssa spent a half hour not knowing she was at the same table as the voice actors of ''Videogame/FinalFantasyXV'' until Mica joined her at the table. After she realized who they were, she sent frantic texts to Cole and Kerry while giggling with Mica. Her animated version even ''fainted'' after learning Dante Basco was going to voice a role in ''Camp Camp''.
* FinGore: [[spoiler: In ''"Mind Your Keys"'', Burnie talks about a guy he knew back in the day, Skylock, and how he drunkenly dropped his keys into a sewer drainage hatch. He was able to reach down and get them, but when he pulled them out, he somehow lost a third of his pinky]].
* FreezeFrameBonus: Because of the sheer amount of {{Visual Pun}}s and {{Call Back}}s in each episode, rewatching may be needed to catch them all.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes:
** Mariel firmly establishes herself as this among the girls during ''"When In Doubt Dab"'', with her competitiveness being portrayed as unbearable to be around during the baby shower. They all were quick to make fun of her thought of how many jellybeans were in the baby bottle, turn on her when she started taking one of the party games too seriously, and nobody celebrated her actually winning one of them in the end.
* {{Gasshole}}:
** Gus is convinced that Creator/{{Funhaus}} just spend their days farting. Bruce thinks Gus is one to talk.
** Michael and Geoff are known to have foul farts, so they like to especially target Gavin.
* GayBarReveal: In ''"Bar Fights and Gay Bars"'', Burnie tells the story of how he, Matt Hullum, and their friends went to Oilcan Harry's to hang out, and Matt had no idea it was a gay bar for 20 minutes. Everyone else, including Burnie, had known from the beginning.
* GroinAttack:
** Chris suffers one at a slumber party ''"Tornado Punches"''. His reaction was... [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown not pleasant]]. He apologized to the guy shortly after, as this was all on ''instinct''.
** ''"Chad's Sack Whack"'' is Chad's misadventure at the hospital after getting hit in the groin by his toddler son and developing a skin infection that needed lancing.
* HighVoltageDeath: The tow truck driver from ''"Lightning"'' talks to Geoff about why he's scared of lightning, revealing that his niece and his brother were killed by it. This quickly shuts Geoff up from talking anymore.
* HairTriggerTemper:
** Gus has a habit of getting easily annoyed if he hears stuff that he finds odd or stupid.
** Similarly, Michael can grow just as easily infuriated with his co-workers, ''especially'' Gavin. This is probably best shown when he breaks out into a full-on angry rant during ''"Biscuits & Breadsticks"'', despite it having been a mostly friendly if slightly competitive debate before.
* TheHeckler: In ''"Mind Blowing Magician"'', Trevor and Geoff attend a magic show in Las Vegas. Geoff spends the entire show heckling the magician by loudly wondering how the tricks were pulled off in the most over the top manner as possible.
* HeterosexualLifePartners:
** Gavin and Michael may get into arguments a lot, but they're shown to hang out a lot outside of work, make the occasional friendly comments about one another, will get into bets with one another, and more. In fact, they probably have one of the closest friendships at the company overall.
** [[VitriolicBestBuds While they'd probably never admit it]], it's pretty clear that Burnie and Gus are very close friends, even if they do get on each other's nerves far more often than not.
* {{Hobos}}: Burnie has supposedly become friends with every homeless person near Rooster Teeth, including one who constantly pesters Geoff and Gus about how he's gonna chop off his leg
* TheHyena:
** As Gus tells his dream story about Chris in ''"Dreadful Dreaming"'', Drew is cackling the entire time.
** Most of Yssa's appearances tend to have her laughing.
** Gavin laughs so hard in ''"Chris's Airline Adventure, Part 2"'' that his character literally dies laughing.
* IfItsYouItsOK: In ''"Bets & Flirts"'', a very drunk Gavin sort-of comes onto Monty by saying that he's not attracted to guys, but his boner is really trying right now.
* InfernalBackground: One formed behind Lindsay during ''"Impractical Yolkers"'' to showcase her devious intent.
* ItSeemedLikeAGoodIdeaAtTheTime: Aaron's parents taking their son out to a bar seemed fine at the time...And then he got mooned by a comedian there.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: All of the employees may laugh at each other's embarrassing moments and their painful histories, but they all clearly care about each other and support one another throughout the series.
* KillItWithFire: Kdin's solution to a massive and pesky fire ant mound in her yard in ''"Actually on Fire Ants"''? Pour lighter fluid on it and set it on fire. She narrowly avoided burning down her house.
* KidsAreCruel: Andrew nearly went blind as a child as a result of the local bullies in his neighborhood throwing wet playground sand into his face and scratching his corneas.
* LampshadeWearing: Used to differentiate regular Burnie and [[AlcoholInducedIdiocy Drunk Burnie]].
* LaserGuidedKarma: In ''"Baseball Bruises"'', Eric is mocked by Blaine for getting hit in the thigh by the ball. Naturally, when Blaine is at bat, Eric pitched the ball back at him and struck him in the ankle.
-->'''Blaine:''' Oh man, [[CaptainObvious that's a bad spot to get hit.]]
-->'''Jordan:''' ''[after Blaine is hit]'' [[CallBack Oh man, bad spot to get hit.]]
* LethalChef: In ''"Chris Cooks Fish"'', perhaps it's best that Chris shouldn't cook. ''"Cooking Naked"'' only confirms the notion because he also thinks it's a good idea to cook while naked.
* LethallyStupid: ''Thankfully'' [[InvertedTrope inverted]], but if ''"Gavin's AC Anomaly"'' is anything to go by, the fact that Gavin saw no issue with the fact that a fire was in his attic for a couple of days and didn't call someone immediately about it goes to show that his stupidity could be a ''lot'' more dangerous.
* MeanCharacterNiceActor: ''Everyone'' in the series comes across as a downright {{Jerkass}}, but all of them are actually fairly nice people outside of it.
* MediumBlending: Because ''"Gus vs. Amazon"'' is also the 400th [=RTAA=], it's filmed in live action, but uses the same animated font for all the text and cut outs of Gavin and Gus's character models.
* MilestoneCelebration: A few of those, such mixing the animation with live-action Gus in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2h7fG_AyJRQ the 100th]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrchvcAHIRI 400th]] episodes, and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m0V9iknWvM Anime spoof in the 200th]].
* MistakenForRomance: While going through their divorce, Jon's ex mistakenly thought that he and Blaine were in a relationship because she stumbled across FanFiction of them as well as a Facebook account purported to claim they were.
* {{Mooning}}: In ''"Mooning Over Shoes"'', Aaron discusses how his parents took him out to a bar when he was younger, and how this comedian would actually moon the audience every time he said a bad joke...Only problem is that when he did this, Aaron saw a little too much.
* MovieTheaterEpisode: Multiple episodes focus on the adventures the crew has in movie theaters.
** ''"Disease Movie Theatre"'' has Burnie explaining why the DOBIE theater is an absolutely awful business, claiming the only reason they haven't gone out of business is because the place sucks dick to stay around.
** ''"The Unbeatable Combo"'' has Eric and Gavin being confused by Tim's insistence that there was a marquee sign at the concessions stand that advertised said "Unbeatable Combo" and being unable to find out that said combo was.
* NeverBareheaded: Fiona Nova is always drawn wearing a unicorn hat, Michael sports a beanie, and Andrew wears a baseball cap.
* OhCrap:
** Accurately describes the comedian's reaction from ''"Mooning Over Shoes"'' upon realizing he accidentally just mooned a kid.
** ''"Grand Theft Cola"''. During a session of ''[[VideoGame/GrandTheftAutoV Grand Theft Auto Online]]'', Gus finds himself getting harassed by a group of players. He finally manages to meet Miles at a golf course...
-->'''Gus''': Yeah, like I said, there's these guys in... '''THEY'RE HERE!'''
* OnlySaneMan: While he can sometimes come across as just as insane as his co-workers, Gus will usually act as the voice of reason whenever things get too out of control.
* OurAngelsAreDifferent: Kayla explains how biblical angels are different from how they're portrayed in media, to which Barbara asks if she should be offended if Trevor calls her an angel.
* OutOfGenreExperience: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m0V9iknWvM Episode 100]], "[[MythologyGag That's My Uncle]]", an ExtraLongEpisode doing a mockery of anime, complete with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyVzkPmZVKY a theme song in Japanese]].
* PerpetualFrowner: Gus is always drawn as if he's frowning. Even while laughing or smiling he looks as if he's frowning.
* PottyEmergency: Some of the tales the staff tells fall under attempting to get to a bathroom and narrowly avoiding PottyFailure.
** Becca had gone out to dinner one night, and couldn't hold it in on the way home, forcing her to stop at a gas station/bus station to relieve herself. Unfortunately, the station was under construction, so it looked extremely sketchy.
** James Buckley was visiting Sugar Pine 7, and unfortunately, their office bathroom was locked and he didn't have a key. He had to resort to ''a donut box'' in order to avoid PottyFailure.
* PottyFailure:
** It's happened to Geoff and Miles. In Miles's case, he was sick while abroad, but it just randomly happened with Geoff while he was watching football.
** ''"House Training Chris"'' is Chris somehow soiling himself at work and another time, he drunkenly peed on his own carpeted floor in the middle of the night. In that same episode, Gavin had it due to food poisoning.
** ''"Booger's Big Blowout"'' is Chris freaking out over his dog soiling his car.
* ProductPlacement:
** ''"Gus Amuck"'' is a sponsored RTAA stemming from Rooster Teeth's relationship with Full Sail University.
** ''"Three Small Boars"'' is sponsored by Creator/WizardsOfTheCoast.
** ''"Go Go Golfers"'' is sponsored by the energy drink [=GFuel=].
* PungeonMaster: Barbara always has a terrible pun on hand, to the point where they made six montages devoted just to her puns. The fifth montage's description was this:
-->''At this point we're probably just enabling Barbara to make more puns, so feel free to grab some pitchforks and torches and form a mob of some kind.''
* PutOnABus: Several characters have been dropped from ever appearing in the series again after issues arose in real life involving their IRL counterparts, largely as departures from the company or social circles.
** Jordan Burns and Griffon Ramsey stopped appearing as their respective divorces from Burnie and Geoff became public.
** After his death, Monty Oum has never reappeared in the series out of respect.
** Ray Narvaez Jr. stopped appearing after he left the company.
** Inverted with Meg Turney, whose first appearance took place two years after she had left the company, with her appearances being non-speaking. As of 2022, her sole speaking appearance is in the ''Survive Block Island'' based episode ''"We Can Save Him!"''
** After Burnie retired from the company, he made a few more occasional appearances but is now largely referred to in non-speaking capacities.
* PsychoticSmirk: Lindsay pulls one off surprisingly well after tricking Burnie into drinking egg yolks.
* RubberHoseLimbs: Everyone has these. It gets [[LampshadedTrope lampshaded]] during ''"Behind the Blue"'', when Burnie explains that an escaped panther couldn't get very far on "noodle limbs".
* RunningGag:
** Pretty much every time one of the guys says "what's up", the drawing of them will suddenly don a black jacket and sunglasses, while smoking a cigarette for about one second.
** Whenever an episode cuts to a podcast featuring Gavin and Gus, expect the latter to quickly grow angry with Gavin over not wearing his headphones properly.
** Anytime Gus and Burnie have a heated argument, it inevitably turns out to be Joel playing with puppets of them, before screaming this afterwards:
---> ''"Fight! Fight! Fight! [[AC:Kiss. Kiss. Kiss.]]"''
* SadistTeacher: ''"Trouble For Nothing"'' is about Gavin recalling the time one of his teachers started screaming at him for entering a storage closet with permission. Except he did have permission from another teacher and he never got an apology for the mix up.
* TheScapegoat:
** ''"Farts Still Funny"'' has multiple examples.
*** Barbara ended up being used as one when she was a teenager, when a disgusting kid let out a fart during a moment of silence, and quickly placed all the blame on Barbara, despite her quickly denying it.
*** Brandon similarly let out a fart next to a girl and his bully, and thus used it as a way to blame it on the latter since he was the bigger of the two and the more likely one the girl would believe let it out.
* ScareEmStraight: In ''"Shattered Dreams"'', Mariel recalls how her high school went all out in a dramatic PublicServiceAnnouncement production of how drunk driving is bad and kills kids. Max had mentioned that his school did the same thing, which prompted Mariel's story. Barbara and Maggie were just baffled that it was a thing in some schools.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: After Burnie mentions Las Vegas too many times for his liking, Gus ultimately decides to outright book it.
* SerialEscalation: Miles discovers that he and Jon are streaming at the same time. They text photos to each other, escalating in intensity until Miles sent Jon a photo of himself naked except for a hat covering himself.
* ShameIfSomethingHappened: ''"Shakedowns & Breakdowns"'' features Geoff's daughter, Millie, [[TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior giving her mother a "Mafia-style shakedown"]].
* ShoutOut:
** In ''"Chris Stories"'', Burnie speculates if Chris is a ConspiracyTheorist, before the episode cuts to Chris looking at [[{{Film/Memento}} a photo of Burnie captioned "don't believe his lies"]].
* SickEpisode: Several episodes have a primary focus on one of the worker's experiences while sick.
* SirSwearsALot: Just about everyone swears quite a bit throughout the series, to a point where it should probably be expected that at least one will be said every episode.
* TheStoic: While he rarely appeared in episodes, Monty was usually portrayed as having a completely neutral look on his face at all times.
* StrangeMindsThinkAlike: ''"Batman Roleplay"'' parts 1 and 2 has Miles baffled that ''three people'' chose The Penguin when he asked them which Batman villain would they roleplay in bed.
* ThinkingWheels: In ''"Booger's Big Blowout,"'' Chris recalls when his dog Booger had diarrhea in the car and got some on himself. Between freaking out, Booger is shown looking at his tied leash with gears in his head, trying to figure out what to do since he can't move too much.
* ToiletHumor:
** ''"Farts Still Funny"'' has Gus explaining that farts are one of the few things in the world that everybody finds funny.
** ''"Brian Hates Dogs"'', has Brian admitting in a middle of rant about misbehaving dogs that his 4-year-old daughter thinks the word "poop" is hilarious and that seeing a dog poop in front of her was the highlight of her day.
* TokenEvilTeammate:
** Burnie is often portrayed as a BadBoss in the series, and serves as the BigBad of several episodes.
** While none of them are exactly innocent in any way, Ryan is probably the only one you could make a solid argument as being evil though, as he ''does'' keep a cow in the ground almost entirely for his own amusement.
* TooDumbToLive:
** When he was younger, Burnie had a tendency to do some pretty stupid stuff, notably trying to make a ''bomb'' in his house after reading the "Anarchist's Cookbook".
* {{Troll}}: To say the entire cast is made up of them wouldn't be inaccurate to say the least.
** ''"Statue"'' has Burnie nearly sell off his website to the city of Burnie, Tasmania...Only for the deal to be ruined due to Gus editing the website from just being a blank page to saying in bold letters, "Burnie sucks cock!" [[TranquilFury Burnie reacted as expected]].
** ''"Impractical Yolkers"'' reveals Lindsay can actually be a very sneaky one, being able to come across as genuinely friendly towards her victim all while giving them an entire glass of egg yolks disguised as orange juice.
** ''"The London Poop Chronicles, Part 1"'' had Jon trolling Michael and Geoff before the ''On the Spot'' panel at RTX London. Michael had let out an especially [[{{Gasshole}} foul fart]], and since Jon was born with no sense of smell, he got down on his knees and ''[[{{Squick}} sniffed Michael's butt]]'', grossing out not just Michael and Geoff, but the rest of Achievement Hunter as Michael tells the story.
* VitriolicBestBuds: The entire cast as a whole. Everyone can be fairly rude and snarky to one another, but it's also made pretty clear that they all clearly care about each other quite a bit.
* WholePlotReference: The sponsored ''"Gus Amuck: The Making of RTAA"'' is a shout out to ''WesternAnimation/DuckAmuck'', with Gus being tormented by [[spoiler:Burnie, and Jordan catches him in the act.]]
