The clashing viewpoints and backgrounds may prove to make the two characters perfect foil for each other, with Trent possibly being the kind of person the New Kid might turn out if he was never treated with the compassion and friendliness he's been given. making Trent perhaps the perfect ShadowArchetype to the New Kid.
