As for what Gripe's next move is going to be, we can only guess, but what's most likely is that he will first try to hold onto his power by picturing Kalmaar as a hero horribly killed by the surface-dwellers and labeling Bentho and Glutinous as traitors for fighting on the ninja's side and leaking important information respectively. Whether he will continue his master's vendetta against the surface world or stay content with ruling over the Merlopia we have yet to see, but he better beware now that one of his enemies is one with the ocean...
