* AlbinosAreFreaks: [[spoiler: Ichiko is revealed to be an albino, justifying her paleness and weird eye color, and is considered a bad omen by the town. She's not a traditional albino, but that's what the game refers to her as.]]

* DudeMagnet: Despite being supposedly plain, Ichiko is the object of affection of most of the men she crossed paths with. [[spoiler: Justified in the case of revenants, as she's an albino and could grant them eternal life.]]
* EatingTheEyeCandy: Though it doesn't always involve nudity of some sort, Ichiko definitely shows some appreciation for the male form at times.
* ForgottenFirstMeeting: Ichiko later learns that she met [[spoiler:all of her possible love interests in Okunezato twelve years earlier, but forgot about them. Hanate's route reveals that this happened because his memory modification of her to make her think he was her brother had the side effect of erasing her memories of her time in Okunezato]].

* TheMedic: Sousuke often ends up playing this role, given that he's a medical student.
* NotBloodSiblings: [[spoiler: Ichiko can pursue Hanate as a love interest in the secret route because they aren't related. He brainwashed her family into believing he was her older brother.]]
* RescueRomance: Ichiko's romance with Yuzuki kicks into gear when he comes to rescue her after she's kidnapped by [[spoiler:Karasuma]].
* UnfinishedBusiness: This is the reason why [[spoiler:revenants end up coming back to life]].
