''Vs. Bob and Bosip'' was a ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin'' mod created by [=AmorAltra=]. In this mod, Bob and Bosip, the personifications of Amor's ''VideoGame/GeometryDash'' Cube and Ship icons, want to play ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}'' together and create a portal that was intended to bring them into the world of the game. However, upon entering, they realize they're in a different game they don't recognize at all. They learn that they're in a game called ''Friday Night Funkin[='=]'', and their only way out is to beat Boyfriend in a rap battle.

In August of 2021, "The Expansion Update" released, rehauling the mod's UI and adding a bonus week against some of the mod team in addition to a crossover week featuring Bob and Ron from ''VideoGame/LiterallyEveryFNFModEver''.

On December 25th, 2021, all development for the mod past the EX Update was shelved indefinitely after the people in charge of the future updates cut all ties with [=AmorAltra=] following his abuse of the team, in addition to other... ''unpleasant'' things he had done coming to light shortly after. The mod itself was trashed from [=GameBanana=] and deleted off [=GameJolt=] two days later. The mod's future is unlikely to continue, but its main charter Cerbera provided a replacement for Amor with his own character Richard for use in ''Platform/{{Roblox}}'' ports to allow ''B&B'' to remain playable for new users for the time being. As well, a nearly, restored version of the mod’s cancelled assets can be found [[https://gamejolt.com/games/bnbcannedbuild/808814 here]].

'''Note: Since both characters are named Bob, [[OneSteveLimit for the sake of everyone's sanity]], in these pages the human Bob will be referred to as "Bob" and the blob-creature thing will be referred to as "other Bob".'''

!!Tropes:
* AerithAndBob: We have two Bobs, a Ron and an Ash... alongside characters named Bosip (Pronounced "Bo-Ship"), Bobal, Bofo, Bowaev, Boder, Bobot, Rizdak, Noke, Anders, CJ, Red, Matt, Amor, Cerbera, Mini and [=JHGhost=].
* AlternateTimeline: The ''Bob's Takeover'' week takes place in an alternate timeline where Bob and Bosip encounter other Bob before meeting Boyfriend and Girlfriend. After other Bob and Ron replace the duo is when BF and GF were supposed to encounter the real Bob and Bosip.
* AtomicFBomb: Bob unleashes an absolutely ''nuclear'' "WHAT THE FUCK?" at the end of the main week, but [[CurseCutShort gets cut off before he can finish]].
* AuthorAvatar:
** Amor is a self-insert of the mod's creator, [=AmorAltra=].
** Mini, Ash, and Cerbera are also ones to various members of the staff.
%%* BrutalBonusLevel: The EX difficulty that is unlocked after completing the game features remixes of "Jump In", "Swing", and "Split", special mention goes to "Split EX" which ramps up the tempo, intensity, and difficulty.
* BadassInANiceSuit: Bob wears a tuxedo and CoolShades during EX mode, and he's a far better rapper than in his normal outfit. Other Bob takes after him in this regard, complete with a ''Platform/{{Roblox}}'' tie.
* TheCameo: Little Man, the only character from ''VideoGame/LiterallyEveryFNFModEver'' to not make a major appearance cameos twice: first in a loading screen dressed as Amor (referencing various pieces of fanart that had the same concept), and Boyfriend transforms into him for a verse of "Jump Out (EX)".
* CharacterExaggeration: In "Bob's Onslaught" proper, "Ron" and especially "Little Man" had quite a few memetic {{Leitmotif}}s. "Jump Out (A Window)", "Ronald [=McDonald=] Slide" and their EX versions takes this [[ReferenceOverdosed and run all the way with it.]]
* ChekhovsGag: During "Ronald [=McDonald=] Slide (EX)" Ron turns into [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Sans]] for a verse. Given [[ReferenceOverdosed the kind of song Ronald [=McDonald=] Slide is]], one might simply brush this off as a one off joke, especially how transforming in the middle of the song has been OnceAnEpisode so far. [[spoiler: Guess who you play as in the bonus song "Oblique Fracture"?]]
* ColorCodedCharacters: Every opponent has a different colored strumline, which helps set them apart:
** Girlfriend: Red.
** Bob: Blue.
** Bosip: Yellow.
** Bobal: Sepia.
** Bofo: [[GoldAndWhiteAreDivine Gold and White.]]
** Amor: Arrow Keys.
** Blu: White and Blue Stripes.
** Mini: Black and Green.
** [=JHGhost=]: Brown.
** Ash: White.
** Cerbera: Black and Purple.
** Noke: Magenta.
** Matt: Orange.
** Red: Dark Red.
** Uni: Pale Blue.
** Rizdak: Red and Blue.
** CJ: Bright Blue.
** Other Bob: White with a smile on it.
** Ronsip: Yellow with a smile on it.
* CoolMask: Bosip and Ronsip both wear black masks during EX mode, the former's having an [[ExpressiveMask expressive]] yellow zig-zag pattern, and the latter's mask having various words and images on it depending on the animation.
* CoolShades: Both Bobs wear black shades during EX mode.
* CreatorCameo: [=AmorAltra=], known as Amor in this mod, appears as himself to challenge Boyfriend in "Split".
* {{Crossover}}: Features one in the ''Bob's Takeover'' week with ''VideoGame/LiterallyEveryFNFModEver'', guest-starring both other Bob and Ron.
* CurseCutShort: [[spoiler:When Amor tells Bob and Bosip that he put them in ''Friday Night Funkin''' for the sake of his mod,]] Bob yells back "WHAT THE FU-", but gets cut off by the credits.
* ADayInTheLimelight:
** "Copy Cat" has you playing as Bob instead of Boyfriend.
** The "In the Background" week has the production crew who helped work on this mod -- who initially cameoed ''[[{{Pun}} in the background]]'' of the main week -- feature their characters facing off against Boyfriend.
* DenserAndWackier: The ''Bob's Takeover'' week is zanier compared to the normal Bob and Bosip week and ''VideoGame/LiterallyEveryFNFModEver'', and even more compared to Bob's Onslaught, being filled with ''way'' more memes, and featuring less nightmare-ish content from the original mod.
* DoubleMeaning: The "In the Background" week's name has two meanings: you are facing off against {{Author Avatar}}s of the developers (thus they've been in the background, making the mod), and they literally [[TheCameo cameod]] at various points in the main week.
* DualBoss: In "Yap Squad", Cerberus barks to damage you and help [=JGhost=]. "Intertwined" is a more direct example, as both Ash and Cerbera sing.
* ExpressiveHealthBar: Like with all mods, the faces of Boyfriend and his opponent on the life bar react based on how well or poorly Boyfriend is doing. A notable difference is that this time there's a new reaction for each side when they're winning instead of just a neutral and losing reaction. For example, in "Split", when Boyfriend is close to losing, Amor's icon turns to a joyful grin, while when Boyfriend is winning, Boyfriend gains a confident grin to his icon.
* GameFace: While this is pretty much the norm for the main game and mod community for a whole, this game takes it up a bit with the EX update, where art for each opponent shows them not only wearing a snazzier outfit, but a more serious, smug or menacing expression, and this translates to their health bar icons as well, showing that this time they mean business.
* FreezeFrameBonus: When Ron gets run over by a car before he gets to "transform", the people in the car are CJ and Ruby from the ''VideoGame/StarlightMayhem'' mod.
* FunnyBackgroundEvent: [[spoiler: During the EX version of "Oblique Fracture", [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Frisk and Papyrus]] are relaxing on a bench, also dressed for the song, and Frisk has [[MythologyGag a hotdog on their head.]]]]
* HarderThanHard: Completing the game unlocks the "EX" difficulty, which features remixed versions of the songs with increased difficulty harder than the "Hard" difficulty. For instance, "Split" becomes faster and has twice as many notes in "Split EX".
* IronicHell: "Copy Cat EX" is one for the other Bob, who has an IrrationalHatred of WebVideo/{{Dream}} (more specifically being called Dream). It's set in the WebVideo/DreamSMP, and Bob and Bosip are rapping with the other Bob in front the Community House. All three are dressed in the outfits of the original trio of Dream, [=GeorgeNotFound=], and Sapnap, and Bob is forced to rap as Dream as he appeared in the music video for "Mask."
* KillerRabbit: In the ''Bob Takeover'' week, Bob casually states that other Bob's song was easy. This makes other Bob mad, and Bob and Bosip quickly find out that him being mad is a very bad thing.
* MoodWhiplash: During the ''Bob Takeover'' week, Ron goes on a long rant about how he's being tortured and has been for years, and he seems to legitimately mean it. Immediately afterwards, Girlfriend responds with "K" and Ron goes right back to challenging Boyfriend with a smile.
* MovingTheGoalPosts: During the EX difficulty for "Tutorial", Girlfriend [[BaitAndSwitch moves back the progress bar right before it fills up]] and changes the tutorial into a banger.
* NothingIsScarier: Bob and Bosip's appearance in the Bob's Takeover week ends when Bob menacingly appears behind them in his Hell form. What he did to them is left to the player's imagination.
* NonIndicativeName: [=McDonald's=] is not brought up once in either version of "Ronald [=McDonald=] Slide".
* OnceAnEpisode: Characters [[InvoluntaryShapeshifting transforming mid-song]] in the Bob Takeover week, with the exceptions of both versions of "Copy Cat".
* OrwellianRetcon: Following the turmoil that led to the mod's cancellation and deletion, Cerbera (the charter, not his character in the mod) created versions of "Split," "Oblique Fracture," and their EX versions that use Richard from ''Crypto Crackdown'' instead of Amor for use in ''Platform/{{Roblox}}'' ports. All places that hosted the mod were quietly updated to use these covers, as if Amor had never existed to begin with.
* PrecisionFStrike: When Bob ends up angering [[VideoGame/LiterallyEveryFNFModEver the other Bob]] and notices him growing behind them in Hell mode, he only mutters a "Oh...''fuck...''". This is in contrast with the ending of the normal week, where Bob is comedically cut off from shouting "what the fuck" at Amor.
* PromotedToPlayable: Bob becomes playable when facing off against the other Bob in "Copy-Cat".
* RedOniBlueOni: Bob is loud, outspoken, and energetic while Bosip is a calm, reserved, and polite guy.
* ReferenceOverdosed: Save "Copy-Cat", all of the other Bob and Ron's songs are filled to the brim with random references and memes, with "Ronald [=McDonald=]" Slide practically melting into a chaotic smorgasbord of memes at its end.
* [[SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl Savvy Guy, Energetic Guy:]] Bosip is the cool, composed Savvy to Bob's excitable, boastful Energetic.
* StealthPrequel: The last cutscene of the In The Background week reveals it to take place right before the main week.
* ShoutOut:
** Boyfriend refers to Blu as [[WesternAnimation/RegularShow Mordecai]].
** Cerbera is a [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Jigglypuff]] [[OriginalCharacter OC]].
** Bob and Bosip kick off the plot by trying to play ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}''.
** One of the people in the crowd during the In The Background week is a person with a computer head holding a sign that says "NOT [[VideoGame/VsHexMod HEX]]".
** One of the crowd members in the In The Background week is Sunny, who's recording the battle; this serves as a double reference to both ''VideoGame/{{Omori}}'' and the ''FNF'' let's player [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9RhdccjWNhs9BL8fICDtKA Gegcoin]], who uses Omori as his icon.
** The ''Bob Takeover'' week is full of pop culture references and memes such as Music/DaBaby and the [=FitnessGram=] Pacer Test.
** Partway through "Jump Out", Boyfriend is replaced by [[spoiler:[[VideoGame/VSAnders Anders]]]] for a single verse.
** "Jump Out (A Window) EX" continues the trend that Bob's previous songs have started, ripping {{leitmotif}}s from Crab Rave, [[VideoGame/TheTrickyMod Expurgation]], [[https://youtu.be/anOApXWUS4I the infamous Mark's Pizzeria ad meme]] and ending the song with ''VideoGame/PlantsVsZombies'''s victory theme.
** Not to be outdone, "Ronald [=McDonald=] Slide EX" has Ron quote [[Film/MontyPythonAndTheHolyGrail "and now for something completely different"]], [[WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButtHead "WE'RE GONNA BE TALKING ABOUT THE PENIS"]] and even shapeshifts into [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Sans]] for a verse.
* SplitScreen: For "Split", the screen is split in half, with Amor in his room on one side while Boyfriend is on the other.
* SuddenlySpeaking: In the main week, Girlfriend speaks in the same beeps and boops Boyfriend does, with the subtitles translating for them both. The In The Background week gives her an actual voice actor and has her speak English.
* TakeThat: Bob gets distressed when he thinks they ended up in ''VideoGame/{{Fortnite}}'' instead of ''Minecraft'', and Bosip promptly has to calm him down from having a panic attack at the thought.
* TemptingFate: Bob thinks beating Boyfriend in a rap battle will be a cinch. He ends up spending ''six hours'' trying to beat him, and spends the entirety of "Swing" leaning against the speakers struggling to catch his breath.
* WholesomeCrossdresser: "Conscience EX" has Mini don a mostly black maid outfit.
* WhoNamesTheirKidDude: Upon hearing that they need to find a pair named "Boyfriend" and "Girlfriend", Bob launches into a mini rant over who would call themselves that, asking if they were named that by their parents.
